Amen,damselfly! The heat! I've been in the Midwest with family,but we are driving ever closer to home in dfw. High today is supposed to be 112 in Dallas. Joy.

Jesus, the heat. It was 107 degrees yesterday where I live.

 

Aug. 2 -- 30 minutes cardio/weights, 10 minutes abs

Oh Good Lord!  You guys aren't kidding about the heat.    I just can't do it.  I think I'll have to get up at 6 am to get in more than 3 miles..  It's horrible.  I know I haven't been making my goal for the last 6 months or so - but COME ON!

 

Here I go again.....

8/2  -  75 minutes total  - 65 running and 10 cooling down and stretching

8/2  -  60 minute running with the cross country team

I'm north of dfw--near the red river, and we were 112 yesterday too. Ugh. I hope we ALL get cooler weather (and RAIN!) soon. goodvibes.gif

I know, Lab, I'm not sure how I'll be able to get it all in this month.  I WILL but, I'm not sure HOW.  I'm really going to be careful with my food and water intake (right foods, plenty of water) and try to be disciplined in general.

 

There for the longest time I got my walk in with my toddler on his 4 wheeler in the afternoons.  That's just plain unsafe right now in Dallas land.

Are we all just summer hibernating or what!?

 

Yoga class yesterday and then a tentative 25 minute walk. It was slow, I admit, but I made it without getting heatstroke  (like my dad did the other day...) so that's a plus-100 minutes

My kid needs to wake up so we can go to the Y and go to yoga this morning.  If he doesn't I will have to head over there later anyway to get a walk in, I just don't like 108 degree walks.

Ugh, starting off slow again. I really need to just schedule workout time and stick with it.
