how to treat ~yeast infection~ in a 5 year old ?

my dd (5) took strong antibiotics. now she is suffering with severe yeast infection as well as diarrhea.

i am treating the diarrhea with electolytes and check every day with the doctor. so far she is doing good, the diarrhea is almost gone (also she intakes probiotics).

the yeast infection though - what can we do about that?? is there any medication over the counter that is NATURAL????? i dont want to mess up my daughters viginas flora.

Up her acidophilus intake - yogurt, yogurt, yogurt! Or there are supplements in powder form you could give her. This is a 100% natural approach : )

You can also up her garlic intake as well.

These are internal approaches. As far as topically, I'm not sure what's out there. . . if you are wanting 100% natural I would head on over to your closest health food store and ask someone what they would recommend.

we've successfull used Grapefruit Seed Extract to treat yeast infections. Hope she feels better soon.
