weaning from domperidone

I have been taking domperidone I think for about a month now and my supply increased slowly from half an ounce per breast now up to 2 ounces per breast.  My question is I am thinking of weaning now from the dom and hoping that I can wean off . From what I have read 4 oz total is actually unusual so if I wean down from the dom how much breastmilk should I feel good about pumping? Is it ok if I wean down and then am only able to pump 2 oz total from both sides?  Will my lo remain satisfied and healthy since he is now used to drinking 4 oz total?   (the only reason I know how much I pump is because I am pumping randomly to see if the dom was working...)  my lo is 5 months now.  thanks!

It is hard to tell how much is actually due to the druy. You may have gotten better at pumping. Even without the drug you may have improved from half an ounce to 2 ounces.

Is your goal to keep pumping and bottle feeding? If so for how long? Are you getting up at night to pump? Can you keep doing that? Do you want to breastfeed? When are you going to start solids and how?

You probably know yourself and your situation better than anyone.

I was on 160mg of dom daily for a year, and then cut it out cold turkey and did not notice a lag in my supply.  But by that time, dd was more interested in solids for nourishment and was happy to keep on breastfeeding.  I also want to point out that using the pump as a gauge is not always very accurate.  I never produced anything with the pump.  Not a drop.  But I had enough to satisfy about 2/3rds of her needs. 

She still nurses several times a day, at the age of 2.5yrs old.
