My midwife said I could go ahead and start using natural progesterone cream if I wanted to, especially since I want to use it as soon as I get a BFP. I think I remember some of you saying you use the brand Happy PMS?? I also have a friend who uses it and said she gets it from Amazon but I can't seem to find that particular brand. confused.gif Can any of you help? or if you use NPC what brand do you use and why?

Hello everyone!

I'd love to join in.

I'm nursing my almost 2 year old daughter.  Now we've decided to welcome baby number three into the family!

I'm not taking my temperature right now.  I'm just using dates and CM.  We'll see what happens.  If several months go by, I'll start temping.

For those of you who still nurse at night, are you taking your temperature in the morning?

Congrats to the Mamas with the recent BFPs, Imavera and SoSurreal! biggrinbounce.gif

Also please put me in the 2WW.  AF is due in a couple days, so we'll see!

Congrats, Imavara and SoSurreal!  Just what I wanted to hear-- some nursing mamas getting their bpf.  YAY!!!!!!!  So hopeful for the rest of, and yeah, if you could spread some of the fertility mojo our way that would be AWESOME!  Wishing you happy and healthy pregnancies and births!

Carmen, wow, that's late for you to get your +OPK, but I guess the m/c caused the delay, heh?  I say, GO FOR IT!  I hope you are blessed to get another bfp soon.

AFM, we had our follow appointment at the fertility clinic.  My prolactin levels are completely normal, despite doing all the comfort nursing and around 3-4 times a day when my DS nurses for nutrition.  My other results with my bloodwork was good, too.  My antral follicle count is super-awesome, having 17 in one ovary and 20 in the other (on average, women my age have between 4-6 per ovary).  My HSG was good also, and it turns out that for it was just a spasm my right fallopian tube was having (my other 2 past HSGs had that happen, but in the left tube).  However... the not so good news is that my eggs are on the 'old' side... so while there are lots at the ready, the majority will have issues with quality-- the fertilized eggie may have trouble with implantation or implant okay and then suffer arrested development... so basically, at my age the m/c rate is typically 38-42%.  The doc also had that it is quite likely I will have (or have had) an early loss, where I didn't even know I was pregnant, and be having a late period.  (Actually, I think that is what happened last cycle, but I didn't tell anybody other than my husband that is what I thought had happened-- all the signs were there, and I was late-- I just am not an early tester.)  Well, I'm still feeling more hopeful than  I did going in to the appointment because my tests came back the way they did... and well, the egg quality thing is just something that happens and I have to accept it.  With that statistic I'm going to focus on the fact that there is a greater percentage of not having a m/c.  I only need one good egg...hoping, hoping, hoping...

Best wishes for all of us, that we can add to our families very soon!

Welcome.gif RavenStar.  I've added you to the main page.  If you would like to share the # months TTC, # of PPAF, and the age of your nursling, I will add that too.  Also, I can add your chart if you have one, just post the link.

texasfarmom I am using this NPC http://www.amazon.com/Emerita-Pro-Gest-Natural-Progesterone-Paraben-Free/dp/B000IMQE5U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314404916&sr=8-1 I chose it based on some googling and the reviews.  I used it last month and it didn't have much impact, but I did feel better (less tired/PMS-y).

Tenzins - sounds like the results are mostly positive!  I'm glad you got answers and hopefully, the next egg "up to bat" will be a good one and you will also be an August success story.  dust.gif for this cycle!

carmen - yay that O is here.  I hope you catch the egg!

AFM - I had my second acupuncture appt today.  While there, I focused on visualizing my body doing what it's supposed to. I imagined my belly growing and my DD meeting her sibling.  It was really nice.  I hope it helps me this cycle.  I'm trying to stay positive.  I'm still waiting to O.  My fertility signs have been all over the place.  My cervix feels soft and open, but I'm having less CF.  Also, my OPKs have been very negative.  But, for some reason, I feel like I will O soon.  Probably just wishful thinking since I O'ed on CD 19 last cycle and CD 20 the one before.  I'm currently on CD 13, so I hope this coming week will be it.

texasfarmom--I've been using NOW brand Natural Progesterone cream for the last 5+months from O until AF, recommended by my NPD.

RavenStar--DS nurses during the night and I temp regularly most of the month in the AM.

Tenzinsmama--You have such a great attitude--I'm rooting for you!

SKJ--Sending some baby dust your way

Your results all sound really positive. How did the doctor diagnose "old" eggs? Or is that based just on your age? Anyway, it is great news that your son's nursing isn't affecting your fertility at all :)

Afm: I *think* I may have O'd yesterday or last night. My temp went up this morning but I did get up to use the bathroom about 2.5 hours before taking it. We inseminated yesterday afternoon and I'm feeling like that will be it for this try. I'm really ready for this long cycle to be over! With a pregnancy or without.....I have never had a cycle this long in my life!

So happy to come on and see some BFPs!  congrats Imavera and Sosurreal!

Tenzins - So glad you ggot mostly good news from the Dr!

AFM:  I am still boycotting temping, and I am much less obsessive!  I am on CD 19, I think I O'd between CD12 and 14.  My back is feeling a lot better, but I am trying really hard to take it easy.  My DD is being so patient, she is helping me heal and stay positve!  I have been pretty crampy in my uterus region, but I don't know if it is just because of the stress going on in my back or what.  I have been feeing naseus, heart burn and irregular as well, but with the pain I have been in with my back,  feel like that may be the culprit, but only time will tell!

SKJ: My nursling is 2.  We just started TTC.  I'm not charting right now and I'm not sure how many PPAFs I've had.  Maybe 10?

sraplayas:  Good to know that it still works to temp when getting woken up at night.  Thanks for the reply!  Hope you feel better soon.

AFM:  AF was due today and hasn't shown up yet.  I'm still trying not to get my hopes up.  But if AF is still not here on Monday morning, I think I'll take a $ store test. :)

carmen - hope the insem works this month!  Let me know if you want me to move you to the 2WW

sraplayas - I hope you feel better soon!

Ava's mama  - glad the no temping is working out

RavenStar - fingers crossed for you!

AFM - I got 2 +OPKs today.  I just had this feeling that I was about to O.  I'm feeling really good b/c last cycle my +OPK wasn't until CD 18 and today is only CD 15. Hoping this is my month.

SKJ - I got a +OPK today also!!  Maybe we can be testing buddies :)  I started my herbs today but no more acupuncture for me this cycle.  Here's hoping for an Irene baby!!

Still no AF and it's almost the end of the day.  My cycle has been an average of 26 days the past few months.  Today is CD 28.  So maybe my body is shifting to a longer cycle.  I bought some $ store tests today just in case.  :)  I feel cramps like I do before AF.  So we'll see.  Does anyone's cycle change in length from month to month?  I know temping might give me more information but I'm not temping right now.
