Any Britax Roundabout owners?

My friend says these are almost impossible to install because the straps are almost too short to reach the latches.  She has an older-model domestic sedan.  Any input, folks?

Oh dear.

She probably has the LATCH straps through the wrong belt path, which means her seat is installed incorrectly, and that type of error could actually cause her child to be killed in an accident.   IT's impossible for what she describes to be true unless she has the straps through the wrong belt path.

That being said, are you in the market for a convertible seat?  What's the age and size of your child?   The Britax Roundabout 55 (current model) is not my go-to seat for a couple of reasons.

we have one and have had no problems installing it in several different vehicles (Honda, dodge, ford, Pontiac).

Not possible.  I had the old Roundabout and had no problem with it, with TONS of latch strap to spare.  She's got to be installing it wrong.  She can also use the seatbelt to install.

"Older-model domestic sedan?"  How old is the sedan?  If it is pre-2002, it may not *have* LATCH anchors, and she may be trying to hook to something that shouldn't be hooked to.

We safely installed a Roundabout in a 1992 Mazda and a 1998 Subaru (no latch in either). However, I agree that I wouldn't get a Roundabout again if I had a choice. Our son outgrew it far too soon.
