I really, really want to get a good recipe organizing program, but I'm kind of stumped. Â There doesn't seem to be much out there that's any good...
Â
I've had Accuchef for years... but it's looking its age, tech-wise. Â It's awkward to navigate and doesn't have many features I'd like. Â
Â
I've just downloaded trials of Living Cookbooks and Cook'n. Â The Living Cookbooks is telling me my 30-day trial is over. Â Whatever. Â Cook'n is all shiny with it's web-style interface, but I'm not sure I like it. Â Plus it's way more expensive than others. Â Mastercook doesn't seem to have a trial, and I'm not buying something without trying it. Â
Â
Living Cookbooks gets great editorial reviews, but the screenshots look to me to be much like accuchef. Â It does have menu planning and grocery list creation, etc, but interface-wise it looks just as cumbersome.
Â
I don't care what recipes come with it. Â It's mostly for my own recipes. Â I have tons of books, some of which there are only a dozen recipes I ever use. Â And I have a HUGE binder with recipes I've printed out from the web, all disorganized and messy.
Â
We just bought a laptop recently, so I can actually keep an electronic recipe library in my kitchen rather than have to print everything out (since the PC is in the basement). Â But I'm stumped how to organize it easily...
Â
Does anyone else use recipe software? Â What do you like?
