Finnley Dax is here!!!  Born @ home in the water @ 11:16 pm last night. AMAZING birth!!  Super fast, once it got going. Will do whole story w/2hands asap.  9 lbs!  I did it!!

Congratulations, Carrie!!!

I'm hoping I'm right behind you!  I had more pink mucous this morning, & a larger amount, but still not feeling any different.  Baby is kicking on the right side instead of the left, though, but I still can't find her back.  I was planning on going to the commissary today, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not...I don't want to wear myself out, but the walking might be beneficial.  Plus we need food & DH isn't practiced at grocery shopping & my mom can't shop at the commissary.  

Today is 10 days past my due date, still only 8 past the "official" date, and DD2 was 10 days over.

Shannon - walk! even if not the commisary. I hope you are enjoying some cooler weather; the high has only been in the low 90's here, and the humidity is down too, so it feels fantastic outside (compared to the last few weeks!)

Ok so - I have 2 hands for a second, let me update everyone.  Finn is awesome.  Nursing is going great, he's got a great latch, he's pooping and peeing wonderfully.  

The labor like I said was mad fast.  From the time my water broke til he was in my arms was 8 hours, but ctx didn't pick up right away, so I can't count from water breaking, really.  So, from first real active labor til he was born was probably only a good 3-4 hours.  My mw was just super amazing.  I called her once I felt like I wanted to get in the water, and she said start filling the tub and she would come and assess where I was at first.  When she got there I was at 5, so she suggested we go for a walk to get things really going.  It was around 9 pm Chris, Jessica (mw), and I walked my normal stroller walk route (which, I have to say, was surreal at 9 at night, with the almost full moon and stars twinkling, it was a gorgeous night)  and I literally WALKED through ctx.  It was intense and crazy.  In b/w ctx we joked and laughed and just -- it was so amazing.  Things got real intense real fast once we got home.  I got in the tub probably around 10:30 (not sure exactly when) and hit transition like wildfire.  It was as intense as it gets!!  I must have only had a handful of ctx before I was pushing with them, and then Finn was born at 11:16.  Only took 3 pushes to get him born.  I barely tore.  They said it was up to me if I wanted sutures b/c the tearing was just so minimal.  I chose to get them b/c there's just no way I can guarantee complete bedrest with my legs together for a week, with Nora.  No way.

Overall it was just amazing.  I'm still in a total whirlwind!  The most awesome birth experience ever.

Carrie, it sounds like an amazing birth! Thanks for keeping us updated (and we knew before FB! yay!) though when it's my turn, FB will likely know first, since it is the easiest to post to from the phone. Plus it's how we take pictures. For the record, I'm giving you and MW permission to share on here what's on FB labor/delivery wise in the event I haven't made it here.

I am so excited and ready to see some pictures! when you get a minute, of course :)

Aargh! I am so mad. I kept checking my email for updates to here and didn't get any. I was wondering when Carrie was going to have her baby already. I just wanted getting email notifications.

I've finally gotten DD used to being in the Moby. My arms and shoulders are so sore from carrying her everywhere! Tomorrow we'll try it outside of the house.

Shannon, I don't know what to say, except keep on trying whatever (short of castor oil, as it's nasty and not worth it) something is bound to work eventually! Is there a point where your HB MW will have to pass you over to the CNM at the NH? just curious.

MW; I only do the daily digest and that seems to come pretty regularly.

AFM: I feel like I am back in the first trimester, with the level of exhaustion I'm feeling. I don't know if it's the cold I've got, or just pregnancy. or a combination. This is my belly pic for week 34:

Pshh!  I didn't mess nuthin up!  Finn knew his time was UP!  LOL!!

OMG.  So, idk if it's hormones but I'm pissed.  I emailed my aunt (on my mom's side, and I don't speak to my mom) to announce the birth since I had put it on fb.  I got a shitty email back saying, "Aunt X already emailed us photos from your facebook."  So my OTHER aunt STOLE my baby's pictures and announced his birth BEFORE I did, didn't tell me or ASK, and then I don't even get a congrats when I do it myself?!?  I'm livid.  Srsly.  I am so over my family's drama at this point it's absurd.  *crumple it up and throw it away*

I'm rooting for girl for JJ b/c baby hid the goods.  That's really all  I'm going off of!  I cannot WAIT to find out!! <3

I think today is the day!    My ctx are crampy/painful instead of just tightening and they're getting closer together as the day goes on instead of farther apart.  MW & DH are on their way.  I'm gonna be soooo upset if it quits again!

Hehe, Carrie. I wouldn't have given that tease before but I was typing with on hand and didn't have much time. You know I was teasing you about messing up the order.

And, yes, Finn knew exactly when to come. You got your due date baby.

Sorry about your aunt's response. I would probably be hurt about not getting a congrats or anything from the aunt. I have a similar story to that. I went into labor with Ryan in the middle of the night. I called my dad to tell him I was headed to the hospital. I think that's an important thing to know because sometimes things can go wrong, right? My stepmom answered the phone and all she said was that she would tell my dad when he woke up in the morning. She wouldn't wake him up and put him on the phone. I was so hurt by that. I never forgot it. So, I probably know how you feel about not getting the congrats.

I probably would not be upset about the other aunt sharing the pics and announcing it before I did unless everyone knew that there was a communication issue there and I may not want certain people to know. If that was the case with you and these particular family members, then I can understand why you'd be angry about that.
