Is this Thrush??

I am 14 months into nursing my second baby.  I am only nursing 2-3 time per day as I have stopped pumping at work.  I am not sure if all this is important but just in case :)  Anyways, for the past week or so during and for a few hours after nursing I will have these very intense, very painful shooting pains in my right breast.  My nipple burns a bit but I have been blaming that on her latch (new teeth) and the fact that she pulls while nursing since I stopped pumping.  Could this be thrush?  I don't see any white patches or anything in her mouth and she seems fine.  Is this just a side effect of stopping pumping?  It has been a few weeks but who knows.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure. I suspected thrush- same thing, no signs in baby but a little odd pain and discomfort in nipples-- occasionally an itch but not much. Called my doc he perceived Dr Jack Newmans nipple cream over the phone. I figure if it works that means it was thrush. If not, no harm done! Good luck!

I actually went to my OB today and he thinks it is mastitis due to the red streaking.  I am on antibiotics so hopefully that helps because man, my boob is killing me!
