"centers and homes must require the children to be vaccinated"

I contacted my EAP for a "fill-in child care" referral for when my SAHD husband has to be away. I got this message (they did give me alot of other ideas for looking).

"Thank you for contacting INOVA Employee Assistance.  Unfortunately, we were unable to locate any day care centers or family day care homes that meet your needs.  We contacted Virginia's Department of Children and Families and confirmed that to be licensed by the state of Virginia the centers and homes must require the children to be vaccinated.  If you have any questions, concerns or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you."
  So I'm not

So I'm not allowed to find a baby sitter with a license? We don't know people and the referral companies charge a fortune.

I am so desperate to find other VA  no-vax parents near me I could just scream. I've met online some nice ladies, but none in Fairfax Co, Pr. William, Alexandria, Arlington etc . I know I can't be the only one.

Virginia is just like any other state. It requires up-to-date vaccines OR an exemption for child care and school.

Here is the exemption form for Virginia.

Call your EAP again and don't mention the vaccine issue. Or if they still have the info on file, tell them, "Oops, it looks like Jr. is vaccinated after all."

It sounds like no one will take the exemption! I will follow up on their referral list for local universities, and maybe at church(s). Its not so much the evening and weekend sitter help but day time is the challenge.

Thank you for posting back to me. My spouse and I feel very isolated trying to find our "tribe" We are very middle of the road between the 2 parenting"factions" , but we are more the AP and natural in parenting than the regular mainstream.

They must accept exemptions. They have no choice.

"C. No certificate of immunization shall be required for the admission to school of any student if (i) the student or his parent submits an affidavit to the admitting official stating that the administration of immunizing agents conflicts with the student's religious tenets or practices"
