Shalimar, Florida

Hi everyone,

I might be moving to the Shalimar area and want to know if there is anyone around there?  I am in the process of splitting up with my partner and moving back to the US.  My mom lives near Fort Walton and I will need some support, so that is why I am thinking of that area.  I am wondering if there are like minded people around with kids 6.5 Boy and 4 year old girl.  I am very scared about this, so would love to know anything about schools, good areas to live or anything that might be useful.  I send my children to a waldorf school, but there doesn't seem to be any in the area.  Anyone homeschooling and single?

I know you posted this a while ago, but in case you did decide to move to Shalimar, I will be moving there this August. I am due with my first child in November. I am afraid that there are not a lot of resources there for us crunchier types, but being near parents for support is always good, that's why we're moving back :)
