Doing so well

I can't believe how well this is all going and just wanted to share, perhaps cement this feeling for when things start to get harder 

Sweet baby Francie will be two weeks in a few days, and I have an 8, 5 and 2 1/2 year old also. Daddy was here for one month and had to leave for work when France was four days old and I was a little freaked out, but honestly this has been cake so far. No tears/ feeling great. Older kids are acting up, but not horribly and Francie sleeps all the time--8 hours/night and the kid won't wake up, yet she is gaining so I am over fighting her on that one.

It will be a month or more until we get a passport/travel arrangements done to go back home, but I just wanted to thank the heavens that this has been so easy so far. We are cloth diapering mostly and live in a walk up apartment and the older kiddos have really stepped up to help carry things up and down and we have healthy food and clean clothes and a Grandma near by to hold baby Francie when I  need to carry something really heavy. I am truly shocked and grateful by how well things are going so far.

Yay! Good for you - it's good to share when things are going awesome :)

I feel very grateful that everyone in this house is healthy and happy. I'm still getting used to caring for a newborn, breast feeding, and the minimal sleep, but otherwise, I feel very lucky to have had the birth experience I envisioned and a healthy baby.

My MIL is here now and doing all the wash (we don't have machines) during her visit which is freeing up my hubs' time to hang out with baby and cook me food :) Once she's gone hubs will be back laboring over the cloth diaper and laundry wash, but we've decided once school starts for me (in 2 weeks) we might see if we can hire someone to come and do the wash a few times a week. We're trying not to stress ourselves out too much :) So far so good!

Just need that boob-contraption Robert DeNiro wears in "Meet the Fockers" so that I can sleep for more than 3 hours at a time :)

I am also having a real easy time- this baby is so good- he has also been sleeping through and normally that would worry me but he's gaining weight/ He turned 2 weeks yesterday. My only issue is my tailbone hurts and I'm still bleeding. I'm not cooking/doing any housework but I have been getting out and I think it's too much but I stayed in bed for over a week and during this summer went stir crazy!
