can you teach a 2.5yo to BF?

Now that I have a newborn nursling in the house and my milk is flowing again, I would love to share some of the milk with my 2.5yo. She never successfully latched (despite a LOT of work with LC's), and I ended up pumping for ~8 months. Anyone know of someone who has successfully taught a toddler to BF? We tried once, but she just sort of gently cupped her lips around my nipple and waited for the milk to come out. I wasn't sure what to tell her that might help. Her recommendation was to fill it up from the container of milk in the refrigerator :)

I know people can re-teach after a dry spell, but since she never has latched it might be a lot harder. if you really want her to have some milk you can pump and cup-feed it to her.

yeah I would think it'd be easier and less confusing for a 2/.5 year old for you to put it in a cup.. if I can produce enough I plan on doing that with my 4 and 6 year old.. because.. well.. I think my 6 year old would be super weirded out by me asking him to latch on ;)

I would follow her lead.

My 3.5 year old never nursed as a baby. But recently (in the past two weeks) he's nursed 2 times!!! Just for a few minutes each, but he's done it correctly and without my having to show him how. It was always my dream that he would nurse after my 10.5 month old was born but he wasn't too interested then. Now he is though! So yes, its possible. :) Good luck!
