Back to school time is always so hard - Page 2

I am feeling a little blue about, too. Our time together won't change too much since I work through the summer, but I'm not ready for the pace, the tighter schedule, and the fact that there will be no more impromptu 4-day camping trips for a while. The weirdest thing to me too is that school here starts so early, when summer is not nearly over.

I have 3 kids and it's quite loud and hectic around my house, arguing and such at times, so I appreciate the quiet time right now (I work at home). I was home schooling my 9 yr up until this year so I do miss her and our "alone" time but all 3 being here all day sometimes bored and not much to do, nah! They love school and seeing their friends every day!

I get a little blue too! Especially since going back to school for the kids means going back to work for me(I work in our school district as a nurse). No more days of sleeping in, doing whatever we feel like, lounging around, sightseeing, and having lots of time to cook and be at the house.......  and I miss hanging out with themhappytears.gif

I was coming to this forum to post a thread about going back to school blues, but I see I'm not alone!

My dc started school today, and I couldn't wait for them to come home!  We had such a blast this summer -- visiting relatives, beaches, pools, relaxing and I wish I could say no homework, but their school does give work over the summer break...grrrr...

Anyway, I know they're happy at school, but I miss them just the same!
