I sunned my diapers to death. 

Why, oh, why did I not think that putting them out in the scorching summer sun every 3rd day- to dry and sun out the stains- would demolish the PUL? Of course it would!

The thought didn't even occur to me until after 4 months of use the PUL started cracking and peeling off of my pockets. 

I feel like a moron. I basically ruined my entire stash of pockets. 

So in case it hasn't occurred to someone else, there ya go.

Oh yuck.  Sorry to hear that.  Now I'm kind of glad I can only sun dry my diapers once a week and sometimes it is only 2-3 times a month.

Are they still under warranty? it seems to me that sun-drying them shouldn't be a prohibited activity.

I agree about trying to use the warranty, I have never heard of this and I live in TX. Thanks for the heads up, I would never have thought of this.

I didn't notice the date on this post until after I replied to it.  She posted this almost 4 years ago.  It is a dead thread.  I guess they don't lock them after a certain amount of time.  Other chat forums do.

Yes. I killed them THIS summer. lol

I replaced some of them (can't afford to replace all of them) and have been drying them in the shade now!

Aww, don't be so hard on yourself mama! You know, all these forums and diaper experts are constantly saying "sun your diapers!" Whatever the problem is: stink, stains, whatever-- SUN THEM. You were just doing what everyone says you should do. And sunning does work....but it's like anything else, needs moderation sometimes. Do you live in the Southwest, by any chance? I grew up in NM and I can tell you that all these "just SUN THEM!" mamas from up north probably don't understand that in some cases, the dryer probably is the safer choice lol.

The South.  And of course it was MEGA hot this year.

Ive done that.. Its why unless I'm speciffically treating a stain I always dryer dry. I live in the sunniest place on earth (seriousy I do) and the intense heat has eatten through fabri destroyed elastic etc.. ITs HARSH and it goes beyond diapers. we HAD to repace my first DD car seat well before the expired date because it was in constant sun and weakened the plastic to such a degree we could poke a hole in it with a finger..our poor car has had all the door handles replaced soooo may ties because the heat just eats through the plastic handles...

 Even now if I sun I do it in a window instead.
