Comfortable nursing pajamas

I'm 6 months pregnant with my second and starting to think about what to wear to bed after the baby is born.  I am VERY sensitive to tight, constrictive clothing at night, so I can't wear anything with a tight band around my ribcage (like a bra or a tank with a shelf bra).  With DS, I basically wore giant t-shirts sliced down the middle with flat diapers shoved in the front.  I guess that worked okay, but I'm looking for something a little less bunchy/shifty.

I have 2 Target nursing tanks, which I really like to wear out, but they are way too tight to sleep in.  I also have a blue canoe tank like this but full-length.  It is not as binding around the ribcage, but still too constrictive for sleeping in.

I guess what I'm looking for is a top to wear that has cross-over cups that you can pull aside like the blue canoe bra, but is still fairly loose and stretchy, especially around the ribcage, and very soft.  Maybe a lighter material would be good?  I want something that's fitted enough to stuff breast pads or diapers in so they will more or less stay there, but not form-fitting.

And I can't spend $60-$100 on a fancy nursing sleep set.

Any suggestions?

I don't know it it will meet your requirements but I am partial to a certain kind of nightgown during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.  They have a few buttons at the top for easy nursing access and then are cut very full.  They are regular nightgowns, not maternity, but I have one I wore all through my pregnancy, in between, and now 6 months into this pregnancy.  I have a long t-shirt material one and a short one made of plain cotton.  Both are comfy and just a little fitted at the top so you are not flopping all over, but certainly not tight.  Look in the lingerie dept of most any department store.  JC Penney has cheaper ones and Macy's has nicer brands.

I am not a big fan of sleeping in crossover tops because I have big boobs that tend to fall out if I sleep on my side.  I sleep in this Medela nursing bra a lot.  http://www.diapers.com/p/Medela-Comfort-Line-Maternity-Nursing-Bras-Nude-22959?site=CI&utm_source=cse&utm_medium=cpc_D&utm_term=GL-145&utm_campaign=google&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=GL-145

Men's white tank style undershirts make great nursing pj tops. The long arm openings allow for easy access (pull towards the center), and the slightly ribbed fabric allows for a decent fit w/o being tight.

They are pretty long on me, not night gown long, but past my hip. If you wanted to make them into nightgowns, it'd be really easy to add on length with some jersey or interlock fabric.

Thank you both for the suggestions!  I will check both of them out. :)

I know Walmart is evil, but I bought a nursing nightgown from there, and I love, love, love it. I am going to order at least one more, probably 2 more. It's fairly thin, but super comfy- http://www.walmart.com/ip/Maternity-Chemise/14972316

Okay, that looks about perfect.  It's just the gather in the middle, right?  No shelf bra underneath?  I might have to turn to the dark side just this once if they don't sell it anywhere else...lol

Right, no shelf bra.

I know, I know. Walmart. eyesroll.gif But I was looking for the same thing, and I couldn't find it anywhere else.
