Jessica I really hope you get to have your little girl today. Will be thinking of you and hoping you have an easy labor after all this prelabor stuff.

AFM, I'm finally full term today. Baby can now come any time they want to in the next 5 weeks, although I'd still prefer somewhere around 20th, and Saturday is the one day this entire month I really don't want to be in labor, so hopefully baby will wait until after then.

So hopefully things are really on their way now.  I have an OB appointment at 8:45am for an u/s, NST, and cervical check.  Cross your fingers for lots of progress.  I can't imagine feeling like this for days, although I think I may just be cursed to endure it this pregnancy.

joy.gif for labor!  greensad.gif For 2 cm.  Maybe you were fully effaced?  Either way, she's coming!  Sending you lots and lots of labor vibes to help Olivia get here safe and sound and healthy and with a not too tired mama.

AFM - my mw appt was cancelled for this morning, boo.  I so look forward to my appointments!!  Oh well.  It's ok, it'll probably just be later this week then.

I hope your OB discovers a ton of progress, and you're holding your little girl soon!

I am cranky, tired, hot, nauseous and dealing with a DH who is acting like a teenage girl. Oh, and my midwife is on a boat and out of reach until my due date, so I don't even want to go into labor until she gets back.

I hope something gives soon! I want to see miss Olivia and have you feel better!!

I did the most amazing scheduling job ever for today :D

This is what happens when you don't write things down.

Around noon I agreed to hang out with my friend, hang out with my mother, go swimming with my doula - all for a few hours, or at least awhile.

At one, I have acupuncture.

If I can do all of that, I deserve a super hero cape :)

Oh well. Slept really well last night, at least!

Got to love pregnancy brain Beckily.

Not to mention the extra distractions Charlie has been creating. Isn't it about time for that boy to get back to head down and quit with all the drama.

Ha - Becky that's too funny.  Good luck hanging out with everyone, lol!!

My MIL got back early from errands so DD and I were going to go swimming at her house.  Within minutes of making the plans, the skies turned gray and now it's thunderstorming. BOOO.  I wanted to go swimming and work on my tan.

Just hanging around the house today, so boring!!  But restful!  Might as well take advantage of that while I can, right?

You'd think!

I really tried hard yesterday. I pushed and pulled and laid at weird angles, did moxa some more - gah, that stinks up the house!! We smell like smokers :P We'll see. I'm going to our favorite chiropractor on Wednesday. She's been on vacation. I'm hoping she can talk to him about it, they seem to get along well. He gets very excited about her. That sounds weird, but it's true ;)

My mother keep saying we just need to have the section and get him out - I've been pregnant forever and now it's time for parenting.

Which. I mean, she had two sections. It's familiar to her and she knows how to do after care. But. You know, I'm really still quite fine being pregnant most of the time. Sometimes it's very painful, but I can work around that. I am in no hurry at all - to have him or to get my belly sliced open. I guess it's normal - everyone is excited and wants to meet him.. it's just that when you're able to pick a day, that makes things somehow seem threatening? And when people ask if I'm in labor YET, I get mad. No, I'm not. Which is a very good thing as then I'd have to go get him sliced out! Go away! :P

I'm entering my cranky phase :D

Dude, I so hear you.  It's not the same at all, but when I had to give DD formula, people were like, why are you bothering pumping?  She's fine on the formula.  It's like, dude, yeah I get it, she's fine on the formula but I WANTED TO BREASTFEED.  It's not the same.  But all those people had already formula fed and their kids turned out ok, so why am I making such a huge stink?  Ugh.  So.  Similar but not the same.  Nobody had to get surgery in my case.  But well-intentioned people will just say get over it and move on but it's HARD to do that.  You're totally allowed to be cranky, btw.

Had my appointment with the OB today. I like her! So section scheduled for Monday, hoping he turns before that. She thinks he could. We looked at him and his back is to my left, head to my right, so I'm going to spend my life upside down and on my side to get him to go.

Also, his balls are GIANT. Might have some issues there, we'll see when he comes out.. Heh. Been making giant balls jokes all day :D

Well....as for giant balls...little boys often have swelling because of the estrogen of their mama's...my boys all looked like they had elephantiasis for about a week after birth...I guess it took about a week for my hormones to leave their little bodies. But seriously. They were huge. Papa was soooo proud. bow.gif I've been told that little girls can have really swollen labia as well. Wonder how papa will take THAT! jaw.gif

I'm sending you lots of turning vibes though, because even though you seem really chill about the possibility of a section, I know you would, of course, prefer to NOT be sliced, and that is totally understandable, having had one myself. So....please Charlie.... TURN for your mama!!!! babyf.gif Then again...maybe his balls weigh more than his head which would explain why he's having trouble moving back down....heh heh.... My 15 year old, who loves songs of the raw humor type, has recently written a song about this issue. He came up to me and said sweetly "Hey mom...you wanna hear a song I'm writing?" And, of course because he has a voice like an angel and the guitar ability of a super star, I beamed and said "TOTALLY!" I settled down in my couch cushions, awaiting his inevitable masterpiece!

The chords were beautiful. The rhythm perfection. It had a snazzy beat and I couldn't wait to hear the words....Until....

"I've got elephantiasis of the balls...my nuts are everything but small.....They are so big I have to crawl...cause I've got elephantiasis of the balls!!"

Uh....yeah. And....it goes on. And on. And on. Clever lyrics. duh.gif However, that being said, it really was catchy, just as much so as any of the songs he listens to by Stephen Lynch that is...

It's my birthday today, so I'm taking the kiddos to the H2O park and then we will maybe go to the fair...I hate the fair, but, the kids love seeing the animals. So...off we go!!!

I had to pause and cackle and read bits to Dusty ;)

I'm not to worried about the giant balls because they DO swell. And it's.. just funny somehow. With everything else :) He has a giant head, too. Didn't quite fit on the screen. So. Sheesh :P We know how to make ROUND things. :D

I love your boys. Have so much fun :)

Happy Birthday!

Oh, and the story about your son's song is very funny.

Beckily, keeping my fingers crossed the Charlie turns. He still got a week, right?

Jessica, hope this is it for you!

ChemistryClass, hope you're feeling better and that the baby waits until MW returns.

Lynann, congrats on reaching full-term.

AFM, I'm at 38 weeks now. I feel good about the baby and birthing. But I have no idea what's for dinner for DS1 or myself. I think I may have lost any interest in cooking at this point, and its even worse when DH is away for the night.

I'm so bored I'm about to poke my eyeballs out!!!  UGHGHG.  I should have a baby.  That'd be exciting!!

I guess I'd better go do the dishes.  banghead.gif

This is exactly how I feel! Too bad you live across the country or we could hang out and send our babies "be born" vibes together. I actually had a dream last night that we were all hanging out together, like in a kind of meeting room. It was so cool! Carrie, you were the facilitator. I wish that dream was real, it would be soooo nice right about now. I actually thought last night that if I go into labor before Italiamom (who lives in the same city) maybe I would call her over and see if the labor vibes would rub off on her. It works for periods, why not starting labor?

I'm dying with all the ball jokes. DH forgot about the inflated newborn baby boy bits and was so proud again when DS2 was born! ROTFLMAO.gif They are starting to deflate now and I'm hearing less comments about it now, thank goodness.

Labor vibes to Jessica and TURN Charlie, go towards the the light!!

Baby is officially a fuss bucket these days. eyesroll.gif My neighbor offered to take my two middles this morning and I crawled into bed for a 2 hour nap where baby finally slept for once. He is asleep on my chest for right now but the second I try to move or put him in a sling, he'll wake up crying again. I think I'll be calling DH to bring a pizza home for dinner because I'm not moving unless I have to. I'm hoping the toddler continues to be happy roaming around destroying the house...

No progress.  Still 2cm.  Saw the midwife, not the OB, so we didn't talk induction.  (Yay!  Boo.)  Have an appt for next Monday, my due date.  Probably won't be around much until after she arrives but I'll be sure to let you all know if she ever does.

Oh I love hearing that I'm in people's dreams!!  Getting us all together would be such fun.  And I wish hanging out with someone in labor would put me into labor.  Maybe I should just go roam the halls of the L&D ward at the hospital??
