Bleeding after 6wk U/S

Due to a ectopic pregnancy in Feb, in which I lost my right tube, my OB ordered a viability scan yesterday. Good news...saw a baby in the right spot measuring right at 6 weeks with a heart thumping away at 114 beats/min. Bad news...2 hours after the scan I had two gushes of thin bright red blood. I was wearing gauzy panties so they didn't really absorb anything. I'm guessing it would have been enough to maybe fill a pad....maybe. I used a 'sposie to sit on (we were out) and there were 6-8 nickel size splotches of blood but it didn't go through the top layer of the diaper. I wore a panty liner last night and woke up to a smidge of brown blood. Today I've had a teeny streak of pink when I wiped this afternoon but nothing else. No cramps really. Slight backache but I think that's due to DS being up all night teething and me in a weird nursing position all night long. 2 tylenol made it go away.

I've had bleeding with every single pregnancy so I know this shouldn't be freaking me out. My bleeding with DS was WAY worse than this and included clots and cramping. But if this was caused by the trans-vag scan does this fit the MO for cervical iritation? I see the OB next week...should I ask for another scan to make sure things are still okay? I should be assured that the bleeding ceased and there's no cramping right?

I had a little bleeding after a trans-vaginal scan with #2. (lasted a day or two but was not much). I also had a yeast infection at the time (which I didn't even know!) and the NP warned me it would probably cause bleeding since the cervix was already irritated, so I wasn't freaked. But maybe call in to the nurse line anyway and see what they say? (I never had any more bleeding with that pregnancy).

Hope everything is well and its just from some minor irritation.

With my trans-vag u/s they said to expect some bleeding, but to call if it continued the next day. If you're still bleeding today then I would call for my own peace of mind.

FWIW my OB really wanted to do another u/s the week after seeing the heartbeat becuase I had a previous ectopic. They never could give me a real reason why I needed extra ones, but I seemed to be high risk since the previous ectopic.
