I am at the birthing center trying to rest. Contractions are 2-3 mins apart. Some are intense but most are not. I am having a baby, ladies. I need lots of good vibes as this is all rather unexpected!

I am doing well and the baby is, too. I will post more later.

cparkly's DH here with an update for y'all: mother and baby are well. A torn bag of waters prompted our midwives to induce labor with pitocin, starting at 4:45PM on Tuesday. Nearly 24 hours later, C's water broke in earnest and active labor really kicked off. She was exhausted thanks to a sleepless night and relentless contractions, but she reached down deep and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy at 9:24PM Wednesday. 7lbs, 1oz, 18" long. As-yet unnamed.
