Mucus when wiping, not ovulation related

The past two days when wiping after a bm I noticed there is mucus, quite a bit. I am not ovulating and I am concerned as to why it is happening. I did have a cold last week and I am still dealing with "frog" in my throat, clearing mucus.

Could this cold have caused mucus to come out after bms? or is something else going on?

I do know that I have trouble digesting fats, found this out after a CDSA.

Or could it be from recently adding some butter into my diet after about a year of not having it (for nursing dd2).

Previously not having a problem with it.

Should I see someone about this?

Thanks for any advice!

I've heard that mucus in the stool is related to food allergies and sensitivities.

Has your diet remained the same?

Pretty much, as I am nursing dd2 and trying to figure out her food issues, so I keep my diet pretty simple. Although, I have started adding butter in to my diet and hers after not having it for about a year. She appears to be fine with it? I think. No red bottom anyway.

I did call the natropath in town that I have seen before and she was not concerned and thought that it was from the cold and that my gut flora got off balance and to double the probiotic dose. However, I am not currently taking any probiotics and have not for about a month since I took out all hidden corn in my diet for dd.

When I did a quick google search I did see a few times something about pancreas problems or food intolerances.

See if increasing fiber helps, especially if you recently decreased your fiber intake.

I don't think I've decreased my fiber intake, but I will up it a bit. Thanks for the tip!
