At DDs 4 week check up they did an ultrasound on her and found that her right ureter at her kidney was enlarged and narrow at her bladder. (at a 32 week ultrasound in utero they found the same thing hence the ultrasound on her.) The left ureter is totally fine. She pees fine and often enough that without the ultrasound no one would have ever thought to go looking for this. She is perfectly healthy, gaining weight, BF only and a lovely, calm baby. BUT I have been referred to a specialist to investigate this 'problem'.
Is this really something that NEEDS attention? Does my daughter need to be subjected to any further tests or is this just a variation of normal and an 'ultrasound disease'?
