Non-vax or delayed vax friendly peds in Traverse city, MI

Hi, I'm relocating to the Traverse City Mi area in the near future.  Our current pediatrician has been fine with our current delayed vax schedule (no vax's so far, still trying to decide if we want to do just a few).  I'll be looking for a new pediatrician in Traverse City that is ok with this option.  I know a lot of them are not and I don't feel like being bullied when I go to the doctor everytime.  Also, if anyone could recommend a great midwife, or doctor that supports natural childbirth in the area, that would great too!  My first lo was born natural, no shots or eye ointment, etc.  We put up with a lot of crap from the pediatricians for that and would love to find someone who is supportive of our choices.  TIA.

I haven't lived in TC since the birth of  DS#2  but I whole heartily recommend http://www.tcmidwife.com/

She attended my second birth with love, patience, and great guidance.  She would probably be able to answer the Dr question.

Best wishes!

Thanks, that is at least a good place for me to start searching for a peds, and a good resource for the next pregnancy.

We are moving to Traverse City too and are looking for the same thing, so please post if you find a good one.  And good luck with your move!

Lara Madigan is my cousin and she's a family physician in Traverse.  The decisions that she's made with her own kids lead me to believe that she'd be flexible on vaccines. Here's her office contact info:   http://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-lara-madigan-xjpxc/office-locations

I took my DD to Lara Madigan the other day.  She was nice, not real concerned about my delayed vac schedule.  Office staff was great. I didn't find her to be particularly informative.  She gave us the basics about her age and that was pretty much it.  My last peds was so good about what to expect, went through diet, growth, all kinds of extras.  I didn't find that to be the case with Dr. Madigan, maybe that's just the dif between peds and FP.  I think I will look for a peds doc in town.  I've heard Dr. Kuhn is great. Robert Kuhn, peds/internist.  Our insurance doesn't cover him though.
