Feeling worried about dd... strong headache and stomach pain all day

Hi mamas,

I could use some advice.  I'm trying to figure out what's up with almost-7yo dd.  I *almost* took her in to the ER this evening, but decided against it.  Now she's asleep and I'm sitting around feeling worried.

She woke up this morning feeling fine (around 8am).  Around noon I was trying to get everything organized to have a picnic lunch at the park.  She said she was feeling "tired", and I figured I had left lunch too late and she must be hungry.  I decided to make lunch at home and go to the park afterwards.  She ate up all of her lunch, but was still feeling crabby and tired.  I figured that she probably hadn't had enough sleep the night before (she had stayed up quite late reading a new book) and decided to let her rest in her bed before going to the park.  She stayed upstairs for about an hour (said she didn't fall asleep... but who knows), then called for me.  She said she had a headache and her stomach was aching.  This went on all afternoon (park trip obviously cancelled by this point).  The headache was strong and seemed to wax and wane.  It was across her forehead.  She also was having strong stomach pains that would come and go. At one point she went poop (normal stool) but that didn't seem to relieve anything.  She wasn't interested in reading or being read to, and watched a little bit of a movie, but soon asked for me to turn it off.  I figure she's fighting something off... not sure what as this doesn't really present like anything I'm familiar with (not like your usual stomach bug, yk).

She doesn't have a fever.  Oh yes, and she hasn't had any appetite since lunch, and refused all but a few sips of water.  No gas or diarrhea.  Vomited a small amount once, right before bed, after standing up suddenly and feeling dizzy.  Only a few small complaints of nausea though throughout the day - otherwise much more focused on the pain.

Any thoughts?

Right before she fell asleep she was really getting upset and feeling very anxious and said a couple of times that she thought she was going to die (poor girl!).  If I knew exactly what was going on I'd feel a lot better, but now I'm starting to freak out a bit too as she seems to be in quite a bit of pain.

I vote for appendicitis.  Usually there is a fever associated with it, but I've heard it can come later on.
