living on a busy street=hearing loss?

so i happened to come across a chart of what noises are considered dangerous (above 85 decibels) and truck traffic, sirens and motorcycles are on that list.  My 6 month old loves being outside on the porch, it reallly distracts her from her teething pain. i try to avoid peak traffic times but now im sick to stomach wondering if it's still affecting her hearing.  what do you all think?

Overtime, there could be some noise induced hearing loss.  I wouldn't be too worried about causing hearing loss in your daughter.  You are already making a smart move by avoiding peak traffic times to cut down on the noise exposure. If you are still concerned, you could speak to your ped. about seeing an audiologist about getting a hearing test for her.  That way you have a baseline to look at for the future.
