Strechy Cervical Mucus ???

Good day all.  I am a bit confused right now.  I was trying to find out where in my cycle I am, and started checking my CM day.  Day 1 and 2 it was dry, a bit sticky and watery.  Then I got thicker mucus that I could strech between my fingers on day 3 and 4.  Now I have sticky CM, that can strech between my fingers, but it is brown blood stained.  What is happening?  I was so exited, as I thought I was about to O, but now after reading all the info on internet I am not sure any more, and to tell the truth I am ver bommed.greensad.gif

Some women have a tiny bit of spotting when they ovulate.  If your CM can stretch between your fingers, it would be considered EW, not sticky.  So...if it's stretchy and a little tinged, I'd say you're about to O.  Pounce on your DH! jumpers.gif

Kitten - Thank you for your post, have been crying non stop for past hour, silly I know.  But was so dissapointed!  It can definatly strech more than a inch before breaking. TMI I know.  Have told DH, and weve been pounceing past 3 days Sheepish.gif

Here is my general guide to CF:

Dry: you'll feel dry all day and there is nothing on your panties

Sticky: you'll generally feel dry and there will be a bit of staining- usually yellow- on your panties.  It might be a bit crumbly or clumpy.

Creamy: generally you'll feel a little wet, lotiony in texture, could be slippery when you wipe, often it will stand up on your panties

Wet: you'll feel wet and your panties will likely be wet- maybe even soak through (I rarely get this)

Eggwhite: you might actually feel it slipping out of you througout the day and it might fall out of you while using the bathroom, stretchy- it may stretch from you to the TP for several inches- and usually clear or yellow tinted, often quite profuse

When EW is tinged with blood this is usually taken as an indicator of increased fertility.  O spotting is not common, but it is one of those things that can happen at any point and then never happen again.  So this may be what you're experiencing.  Or it could simply be blood from an irritated cervix (did you bump it while checking it or while DTD?) or it could be caused by hormonal fluctuations- associated with ovulation or not.  So if you're getting EW right now, definitely keep DTD until it dries up and then 2-3 days after.  If you get a second patch of EW a few days or even a week later, repeat the process to make sure you catch that egg!

Do you chart your BBT temperature as well or plan to start?  You might be able to catch that O spike this cycle and better pinpoint ovulation!  Post if you need help getting going with charting!
