I've felt so crampy and sore in my abdomen and sometimes down to my cervix (especially at night which keeps me awake.) I had some spotting but at my exam, we were able to hear a very healthy heartbeat. I'm nearly 12 weeks now. I've read that it's normal, so I'm not going to worry too much. Just wondering how long it lasts. Anyone else experience this?

crampy and sore
Just in case there's someone in the same boat, I wanted to reply to my own post. Right at 12 weeks the soreness and cramps went away overnight to be left by more intense morning sickness and a rounder belly. Another friend of mine said that she had the same thing with her second. Glad to be past that phase...Â
This is baby number 4 for me, and I am only 3 weeks in, and I already feel that. I get it bad in the first 12 weeks, every time. It feels like PMS bloat, but also almost like my cervix is really heavy....it is actually similar to the feeling at the end of pregnancy when I feel like the babies head is between my thighs, lol.  I think it is hormone related....something those first 2-3 months cause that.Â
