Hi, After reading posts on the women who's son broke his leg I am very scared my son fell this afternoon cried alot longer then usual fell aleep on the way to the hospital. and seem fine except every time he puts pressure on it, it hurts him. He can still pick up things and move his hand and wrist. there seems to be a little swelling. I just need to know is there anything they can do for this. Are insurance ended because my husband previous employer pulled out his non compete when he had started a new job. Anyways we have to move half across the country and don"t have insurance for two months.. We will take him in if we need to, this is just a really scary situation.. anything will help..

Thanks so much..

I could be just sore, but I would not want to take that chance. I would take him in to a clinic to get it x-rayed. I would not necessarily go to the ER because that tends to be more expensive. If you do not have a primary care doctor right now try a walk-in clinic. We have several in my area, and that is where we go when my husband has a sprain. You can ask about cash payments: some clinics will give a discount if you are paying cash and have no insurance.

we went to an urgent care clinic when my dh thought he broke his foot.  It was under $300.  A lot of money to be sure but if needed we could have made payments.  If we had gone to the ER it would have been $1500+
