I really wanted a third boy. I have two sons already, 5 and 3. I'm not a very "girly girl" and occasionally watch a few of my friends daughters. I am absolutely clueless as to what to do with them and how to entertain them.  I'm sure it would be different than my own, though. DH really wanted a girl, though. He's happy of course. He's already talking about baby #4.

I have two boys and could see it going either way. I'd be thrilled with three boys and I'd be thrilled with two boys and a girl. I really have no preference or no hunch.

It's a BOY!

I'm going with girl mostly based on all my dreams and such post-DS. I actually had a dream the night he was born that I had a little girl and woke up quite concerned that I had gotten it all wrong with DS. LOL. However, I knew DS was a boy from the moment of conception, and dreams about him were very different. Plus, my dreams about having a girl were very different than I had always imagined my family, which was two boys then a little girl. DH also thinks/wants girl. While I'm going with girl, I've actually had no inclinations since I got pregnant so I'm a little thrown by that considering my dreams and such for the past 27 months.

We were trying for a girl, so it would be nice to see if our experiment worked, but it would also be a lot of fun to watch 3 little boys get into mischief together.  We also already have the perfect girl name picked out, so hopefully we'll know in Sep whether or not we need to work on a boy name (although we probably will anyway - I've known people who were told one thing, and when babe was born, they had a big surprise).

I haven't decided if we are going to find out or not. We didn't with my son, so, we shall see. I'm not a huge fan of giving in to hunches, because I don't like to build up any type of expectations that could lead to disappointment (for no reason other than the build up). I have no preference. A boy would be great for my son, and it would be nice to have a girl. This is our last. I have felt it was a girl from the beginning, because of little differences in my two pregnancies, and from when I should have ovulated and when I conceived. It had to be days apart.

I went ahead and found out , it's a girl for me she was measuring 16 weeks  I'm a couple days shy of 16 weeks according to LMP for EDD.

Oh my goodness. It's so cool to hear your news already! Was referring to hb earlier and how sometimes high or low can indicate a gender. I know, I know..... may get a hopeful wishing balloon popped. That's ok. But, it would be fun for me to see if there is a correlation. I might have some of that air replaced.   I lean towards spicy foods, bought something pink already- just couldn't resist, and it has high hb. Yesterday my dh says, why are you being so sweet? I said, it's my nature honey. LOL. I have not been showing that whatsoever for awhile. Are girl pregnancies meanness-makers? I noticed the energy is really picking up now. So loving it!

Last hb was 179  How about yours?

It's really a total guess on my part but this pregnancy feel much like mine with DD so that seems like it might mean another girl... or not.  I just asked, DD thinks girl.  DH thinks boy.  We'll see in a few weeks or so!

Guess: Girl - I initially thought it was a boy since I already have a girl, but my dd is convinced she's having a baby sister and 2 other people have predicted girl and the timing of conception would favor girl, so I'm thinking it might be a girl but I really have no idea.  With dd I had strong feelings she was a girl but I think it was just wishful thinking because I really wanted a girl.  With this one, I will be thrilled either way and I don't really have a strong feeling one way or the other if it's a boy or a girl.  It would be fun to have one of each and I think DH wants a son (although he says it doesn't really matter and he would be happy with another girl).  I grew up in a family of 3 girls and I LOVE having sister so I'll also be excited if dd gets a little sister. 

Appointment - not sure - I'm almost 16 weeks so probably in the next 4-6 weeks

With our 1st child we didn't find out because we wanted to be surprised and during the one U/S I had they couldn't tell anyway because of the baby's position.  This time since we had the CVS done, we wanted to know since it didn't feel right for all these doctors to know and not us.

I'm not sure about the sweet or mean predicting what you're having, but I was EVIL when I carried my girls.  I made a guy cry at work and felt good about it.  HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that you aren't carrying a sweet little girl.  So just wait another month and know for sure...

I was just looking at registering for some stuff and the bath I liked only comes in pink or blue.  Argh.

I am a 5th generation first born female (as far as we are able to count back, it could be more).  I hope to continue the legacy by producing a girl with strong intuition.  I feel as if I am having a girl.  I had a dream about her in Jan- we had no intention of conceiving in May.  Also, I have been debating girls names.  While on a trip last week, a beautiful female baby deer approached me twice in WA.  My baby name is related to the deer.  I have a very strong connection to the Moon and my spirit guide named Selena (hence my profile picture).  Two years ago, my husband brought me a lovely necklace from Tiffany's with goddess Diana and her deer on the crest (on the back it says "courage").  It just occurred to me that (duh)- I am suppose to be accompanied by a deer (figuratively).  I have worn the necklace just about everyday for two years.  I am really hoping for a girl, but I would love to make my husband happy with a little boy too!  I am just not mature enough to carry a penis yet!

It's a: Couldn't tell. Aaaargh! The tech said the baby had it's legs together the whole time. She thought it might be a girl, but no opportunity to verify.

I want to know if I'm right so I can go buy a pink didymos wrap I've been lusting over. I've just had this really strong intuition about baby girls even before I knew I was pregnant. I'd be very surprised, but not disappointed if it were another boy. Already have a name for a girl too, so that would make it easy.

We are all about finding out the gender at our house!! DH and I have daily conversations about it. We can't wait to find out! DH is sure it's a girl, but I could go either way so I'll put DH's guess.  My family is dying to buy pink so I think there will be disapointment all around if it's another boy.  But I still think it would be great to have 2 boys so close in age, I bet they would play so well together.

It's a BOY!

Surprise US (been very sick /hospital). DH and the little boys (6&4yrs) were with me. So great to see the little critter moving around! The tech said "When was your due date?"  I said Valentine's Day. He said "Uummmm. do you want to know the gender?" WE all were like YES! Considering I thought that I was only 14+ weeks -definitely NOT expecting a gender confirmation. He said "It is definitely a boy and you are due the first of February!"

This is baby number 4. I have bragged on various threads that I "knew" that I was carrying a girl & had this strong intuitiveness.. Cripes!  I have a PINK dresser filled with a baby girl layette! In a manner of minutes it's all changed -a boy! I love life. It's been like Christmas morning! 

I am so completely happy and joyful!  I wish I could hug everyone who is reading this!

We found out this fabulous news completely unexpectedly! If you schedule an US around 18/20 weeks, the option of finding out the gender is a given. Like, this thread's question "when do you expect to find out?" The best bit was; we were NOT expecting this at 14,(oh! Sorry) I mean 16 weeks! See,My due date changed too! Yeah, OK.. due dates change often in the progress (process?) of pregnancy. That is common. It really should be your due '2 weeks'!

Baby boy in the bump is healthy and perfect. DH got choked up! said "he's beautiful -he has your mouth!" I was still in shock and could not speak! (remember pink dresser) But, really? Sweetheart, my mouth? His little bones are just starting to calcify. the soft tissue shadows are ambiguous at best! Penis of course is accurately detailed!

I truly hope you all have an experience as wonderful as we did. Every story has a joy component. Thanks you for letting me share ours!
