It's a: GIRL !
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but from the moment that I found out (and was actually willing to acknowledge the truth of it ) I've just had the "girl" feeling. I don't know what the normal assumptions are for fetal heart-rates and gender, but I can tell you my boys always run faster than my girls. Always. And this little one was a 156 the first time I listened. He/she wasn't asleep either, because the midwife picked up the HB, then the little one swam away and made us chase him/her with the doppler. All of my cravings have been totally different... I have the typical girl-pregnancy pica, craving massive amounts of ice chips and bubble gum; yet I also have the boy-pregnancy cravings of pickles and french fries. The symptoms were intense at first (ala baby girl) but have lasted wayyyyy longer than usual (ala baby boy). My feeling, though, is girl. I have pretty much always been dead-on in that respect, so in three more weeks, we shall see!
As for what the, uhh, "donor" wants... well, he wants to pretend he never met me (bwahahahaha! he can run, but....). I do know, however, that he has fathered three other children and two of them are girls. If this one's a girl, it will round out my pattern nicely (my kids are G-B-G-B-G-B so far).
