If your toddler takes Floradix

Can somebody school me?  Our 16 month old still has low iron (10.4).  We have tried iron-rich foods and, when something needs to be cooked in a pan and we have some wild hope he'll actually eat it, we cook in cast iron.  I think the main reason he has low iron is that he still just doesn't eat much solid food.  He loves nursing.  We only offer him healthy foods and I don't intentionally nurse him before meals or anything like that, but that's where we are.  He HATES Poly-vi-sol (and if you tried it, you would too!).  I asked our ped about Floradix.  While she said her personal preference would be Poly-vi-sol, Floradix would be fine if that's all we could get down him.

My question is this:  How much do I give him?  The box we have says it's for children ages 4-11 and to give 10 mL 1x/day.  If this matters, it's the Floradix Iron + Herbs.  Also, is there a just plain Floradix without herbs that tastes good?  Please let me know.  I would also be interested to know if you used this product and saw an improvement in your child's iron levels.

TIA

My 13 month old had Severe Anemia at her 12 Month doc visit it was 6.2 and we did 5 mL Floradix a day and at 13 months her iron was up to 10.3 so we are pretty happy.  We also cooked in a cast iron pan.  My daughter also loves to nurse.  We tried to be aware of keeping her iron rich meals separate from her calcium rich meals and adding something high in vit C to the iron meals, usually pieces of orange.  We were prescribed ferrous sulfate but just thought it was too harsh.  The Floradix really worked for us.  At this point she spits out most of it so I mix it with some OJ sometimes.  I hope this helps.
