Can you give me some pointers on joining two balls of yarn? I've really only done small projects in the past. I'm working on baby afghans and I can definately tell where I joined the yarn.
Please help. :

I am no expert and I have only joined yarn when knitting in the round but I would wait until I was at one of the edges. Then tie it through the first stitch making sure the working yarn will come from the back. Leave both tails there and weave them in when finished. Make sense? I hope someone who can explain it better shows up!
