My daughter is 10 months old and co sleeps with us. We have a drop side crib that side cared to our bed to become a co sleeper. She sleeps pretty well in it, but still nurses twice in the night, and somehow by morning has made it into our bed.
Â
SO...we just found out we are expecting in April of next yearÂ
 lolÂ
Â
We are both excited to grow our family, while we didnt expect it to be so soon....but we say "bring it on!" :)
Â
My only concern is what do i do with DD? She will be 18 months old when the new one arrives. I planned on putting her into a room with her big bro once she was ready to co room with him. But i thought that would be when she was 2-2 1/2. Â
Â
We have a queen size bed. I can have her and the new baby in the bed every night. So anyone else been in this boat before? What did you do?
Â
I want her and her brother to co bed...so she will still be co sleeping just not with us. But at what age should we start this transition with her?Â
Â
Also the nursing twice a night. I dont believe she does it because she is hungry...but i have been of the mindset that you let babies nurse on demand. So would it be cruel to start "training"(god i hate that word) her down to one feeding and then no feedings in the next 9 months?
Â
The sleeping arrangement is really the only thing that has me worried.
We have 9 months though...and I am sure it will all figure itself out. But i need your help and want to hear what worked for you...and any advice you have.
Â
TIA!
