My son has been battling an allergy problem like none I have seen.....his allergies are externalized....his skin is raw from constant scratching.....we have been to many specialists, but all they want to do is give meds, which don't get to the root of what is goin on in his body. If anyone out there has had a similar problem, please let me know if you found help. I am heartbroken to see him so miserable every day. Thanks!! Peace

Is it a really bad case of dermographism?  Mine would get really sensitive before I discovered I had bad food allergies.  I still have it, but I don't break out in whelps every time a try to scratch my back.

Does your sons condition come and go?  Can you describe it some more?

Hi my daughter's skin breaks out into a severe rash and has eczema caused by dairy and wheat. I breastfeed and when I eat those foods her skin looks terrible. I even put an oatmeal compress on her face and she had a bad reaction... Turns out the oatmealwas made In a facility that also makes wheat products. The only thing that has cured it is to not eat these foods.

Well have you tried cutting out any foods like dairy, wheat, red dye, etc?  Are you using non-chemical soaps for your laundry and shower?  If anything, try a homeopathic doctor.

Sorry to get offtopic.gif but I'm severely allergic to oats and they would make my skin red, too, even without gluten/wheat contamination!

Is it an eczema rash or something else? My son was covered in eczema, head to toe, & despite everything we did, it'd never go away. The long story short: we eliminated all his known allergens, helped for a couple weeks then got bad, after trying western medicine for a year, we treated for yeast overgrowth, started LDA, then year later did Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The TCM had an amazing impact!! If you want the long story, here's my blog: www.allergicadventures.com & feel free to pm me for any more info/questions! I hope you find relief soon, it is so awful to watch your child in so much pain. It was so discouraging to go to the doctor & I have them tell me he was the worst eczema case theyd ever seen but didn't know what to do for him greensad.gif
