What would be an easy job to get in Florida?

We're thinking of moving to Florida.  I'm American but we live in England.  Dh's work experience is office based stuff, but is willing to train in anything for a change, and to get a job easily in Florida!  We were thinking yesterday, maybe AC technician or solar panal guy?  Would this be an easier job to get than office work?  He's a housing officer here, not something they have in the US, he manages properties of people in social housing. 

If he trained as an AC or solar panal person over here, do you know if it would transfer to the US or he'd need to do it all over again?

Would it pay better than office stuff? 

Are there loads of people trying to get these jobs already anyway?

DO NOT WORK OR MOVE TO FL!!!!!  We are not going to bounce back as fast as the North and the unemployment situation is dire here.  Not to mention the "dole" tries to do everything they can to NOT help you.  Find somewhere else-anywhere.
