next step...egg sensitivity?

I'm trying to figure somethings out. DD1(3yo) poops every 3 days and it usually hurts to pass. She's even had a little blood inher stool form timt to time. She has dark circles under eyes that look puffy at times.

DD2(5months) has this red ring around her anus that will not go away. Soemtimes it's worse but it's ALWAYS there. She wakes up a lot at night full of energy for hours she will be up talking, sucking her toes, blowing rasberries etc(this is probably not tied to food but who knows)She's exclusively nursing.

We have been of gluten for months and haven't noticed a change in anything.  We have been dairy free for 4 weeks and again no change in anything BUT I think I need to give dairy free more time? Wouldn't DD2 rash be gone by now IF It was related to dairy?

I want to trial eggs as they have been an issues for me in the past but the thought of being egg free seems unbelievably hard :( I'm parenting my 2 by myself right now till Oct when DH gets back and I feel like all I do is cook as it is. My plate is full! We rarely eat out and eat all organic and no processed anything.

We are all on probiotics and drink kombucha daily along with some fermented foods.

Any advice on egg eliminations?

Have you tried keeping a very detailed food log?  That can help a ton!

Honestly, I get the "all I do is cook" thing but to remove egg, dairy and gluten shouldn't be too tough. We are those plus a bunch more and manage fine.  I cook some things in large batches and freeze them so I have it on hand and not actually in the kitchen more than I have to be. It's still a lot but it's in bigger chunks and seems easier for me to deal with.

Good luck!

Thanks! So i write down what I eat and watch for reaction?

Yes, EVERYTHING you eat.  Including vits/supplements and all that.  Down to every last think IN everything you eat. I found on my ED I ate the same things pretty much daily so I cut and past in a word document.  I had "What I ate",  "What Baby ate", and "Baby reactions".  Under reactions I kept track of when they went to bed, when they got up, how many times they were up, colic stuff, poop stuff, all that.

Sometimes it isn't as clear as others.  For me, we found out DS's coconut allergy was causing major issues and also figured out his palm oil stuff (we didn't know at the time the two (coconut/pal) cross reacted.  Emailed our allergist and sure enough, yup!)

Except for gluten allergies, specific allergies are not inheritable I don't think anyway, just the tendency towards allergies.  That doesn't mean that egg isn't a logical next step, just that it might be something else.  Nuts (all nuts--even almonds) can be an easy next step if you hesitate to eliminate the egg just yet.  And after the egg elimination, introduce just the yolk first, then the white a bit later.  (My daughter is allergic to eggs, though it's relatively mild, and she has no issues with eating the yolk from her sister's hardboiled egg.  Yolks are good for baking with in cookies, etc.)

And, yes, I think you should have noticed a change by now in the dairy, so reintroduce it if you haven't.  No change still?  Then likely it's not that.

You are correct in some ways here.  A tendency to have allergies, either environmental OR food is inherited.  If a parent has an allergy to anything (grass, weeks, foods) the kid has a 50/50 chance of having allergies to something (again, maybe food, maybe environment).  This includes a gluten allergy.  Celiac on the other hand is NOT an allergy but is also genetically linked.  That is, if a parent has Celiac I think the kid has something like 1 in 10 chance of having it.
