Group B Strep - vaginal vs. anal swab or both?

I've heard of some asking for just a vaginal swab to decrease the chance of a positive test.  Is this true?  What are the pros and cons of either?  I'm having trouble finding any info about this.  Any info or experiences anyone could share would be appreciate.  I'm approaching 32 weeks and want to minimize chance of a positive, but still have the test done so no one hassles me about it and tries to push abx.  I was negative with my first (ate lots of garlic and took priobiotic supplements) so I'm hoping I'll test negative again.

Thanks!

My midwife said doing both makes it work better.. something like that (meaning adding the anal swab increases chances of a positive). She then said if you're at all uncomfortable with that part of it just skip it... etc. I skipped that part. The baby doesn't come out that way anyhow!

Like you my midwives don't automatically medicate for positives.. I did it in case of transfer to the hospital (assuming like last time it will be negative).

Due to my UTI/GBS experience with my last pregnancy, I will be doing a Hibiclens rinse prior to getting swabbed.
