I am recruiting participants for a research study in how birth partners support moms in labor. What do they do? What is important to them as birth partners? The study compensates with a $10 gift card to Amazon. Do you know a birth partner that can help me in my research?

About me:

I am a birth doula, mom, and grad student at UCSC in computer science, working on a video game to teach birth partners (mostly fathers) about what it's like to support a mom through labor. In this early stage of game design, my research team and I are interviewing birth partners, both past and future, about what kinds of support goals and support
strategies they used, or intend to use, in labor.

About you:

The eligible participant will be...
- An expectant birth partner (mom is in the 3rd trimester) -or- a recent birth partner (mom delivered less than 4 months ago)
- Intending to deliver, or delivered, in California
- Available for a 30-minute interview

The interviews are strictly confidential, anonymous, IRB exempted, will take about 30-45 minutes, and will be done wherever is most comfortable for the birth partner. We will compensate the birth partner with a $10 gift card to Amazon.
