2yo won't stop picking at bites on skin

Hey all, need some creative ideas.

It's a 2 year old who had gotten some fire ant bites on his leg and continues to pick at it.  Can't keep band-aids on him, he just works them right off.  A little success with sneaking in after he's asleep at night to put band-aids and neosporin on them.

He's also got a spot on his wrist he's picking but don't recall ever seeing a bite there.

He's never had trouble with picking before.

These poor bites on his legs are from over 2 weeks ago!  Any ideas?

My son would really pick at his mosquito bites. I put some A&D on them at nap and night to help them heal up. It also seemed to deter him a bit from messing with them. Without the A&D they'd be all bloody in the morning, but with it, I actually saw them start to heal.

If the skin isn't broken I recommend trying Arnica gel. It has become my go to product but it is not recommended for broken skin.
