I'm so glad to have found this forum...to me it's like the baby/parenting version of Offbeat Bride Tribe!
Â
I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my first, and we just found out that it's a girl!! I've found an awesome midwife, and if all goes well with the pregnancy, we will be doing a waterbirth at home. (SO excited!)
Â
I look forward to breast-feeding, babywearing, and cloth diapering (I think I'll wait until after the first month though
), and my husband and I are eager to homeschool when the kid(s) are old enough. (I was home-educated from kindergarten to Grade 13 (my choice), and it was one of the best things my parents did for me!)
Â
I generally do more reading than posting, but I'm excited to get involved on the forum, and am greatly appreciative to have found a community like this. I'm the first in my circle of friends to live with my partner/get married/get pregnant/etc...  I'm also the only one to have been home-educated and hold *alternative* views on infant- and child-raising.
Â
Yay for people like you! You make my day!
