Hi All,

We  (boyfriend) had unprotected sex on 13/08/11 and i ovulated on 15/08/11, Today i have felt dizziness and sickness come over me in waves, heart burn, very tired and headache. I was just wondering if anyone had signs this early. I have read on other threads that women have had signs from the day of implantation?

On my son i didn't have any signs or symptoms i had a feeling to test and it was positive. i was 3 weeks pregnant.

Hope someone can relate

Thanks Ladies

If you ovulated yesterday, you wouldn't have pregnancy symptoms today -- implantation usually doesn't occur until 5-10 DPO.  Progesterone (the dominant hormone in the luteal phase) can cause symptoms that are also found in early pregnancy, so it's possible that the surge of hormones from ovulating is responsible for what you're feeling.

Good luck!

I know some women say they "just know" when they conceive.  I believe them. But, I also think that when you're paying close attention you can spot all sorts of possible pregnancy symptoms and in hindsight attribute them to pregnancy once you have a BFP even if they weren't actually caused by the pregnancy.  There are plenty of women that also experience all these symptoms and then get BFN's.  As the pp said if you O'd just the day before, it is highly unlikely that you're experiencing pregnancy related symptoms.  Implantation occurs between 6 and 12 DPO and 84% of the time it occurs between 8 and 10 DPO, so generally early pregnancy signs show up around then.  There are a lot of things happening hormonally around the time of ovulation and around the time of AF that cause pregnancy-like symptoms.

How did you confirm O?  Some women get accurate HPT results as early as 8 or 9 DPO, but most have to wait a few days longer, more like 12-14 DPO.  Good luck!

Thanks for replying.

I have ovulation pains/mucus and ovulate pretty much strait after my period because i have a long cycle of 8/9 days, also i have an app on my phone that tells me.lol. I have always been able to tell when i ovulate.

Today i don't have the sickness or dizziness just very tired and headache for the past 3 days(i never get headaches). Also i have been having watery discharge. I agree that you can make your body have symptoms if you really want them, i want another baby but im not obsessing about it, if it happens it happens, its just that i have never felt like this after ovulation before... and was just wondering if anyone else had felt this way and been pregnant....

Ovulation pains can occur before, on the day of, or after ovulation has occurred.  Fertile cervical fluid will occur a few days prior to O and generally dry up right after.  But neither of these things confirms O for certain.  Only temping will do that.  So it is possible that you are farther into your LP than you think, or of course, the opposite.  But, more importantly I wanted to add that there are several other threads in this forum for women TTC that are more like chit chat/support threads, which are great for checking in, listing symptoms, getting advice and support, etc.  Some are age based, others are based on where you're at in your cycle (waiting to O, the 2ww, etc.), one for nursing mamas, and I just saw one for those TTC #2.  Check them out and jump in!  I'm certain you'll find others that have felt as you do!
