Movies, animated cartoons?

We watch a variety of movies esp since I have a 6 yr old. But big hits here are signing time DVDs, curious George, Clifford, scooby doo(little too old for a 2.5 yr old) Mary poplins is awesome and so is pippi long stocking. My 3 yr old loves rio, nemo, and quite a bit of others.

My ds really liked Backyardigans back then.    And Max and Ruby.

We've used:

Babies (2010 documentary)

Fraggle Rock

Nature shows (mostly off Netflix streaming, so I can't remember which worked better, but some that we have listed include _The Life of Mammals_, _The Life of Birds_, _March of the Penguins_, _Blue Planet_, etc.)

Seriously, she'd be happy watching Babies over and over and over again... :}

We stick with kid "documentaries" (for lack of a better term) from the library.  Along the lines of "at the fire station", "all about airplanes", "zoo babies."

Veggie Tales are good if you like Christian movies. My older two children always loved them!

Ds LOVES the cars movie. Other than that we've done Chuggington, Max & Ruby, Cat in the Hat. He would happily watch more of a variety but quite honestly I canNOT stand to listen to many children's shows. He gets very little tv because we don't have it hooked up in our house.

My dss loves Wonderpets and has enjoyed Spongebob since he saw the first episode. He is big into all of the Land Before Time movies and even watches some of the "Walking With Dinosaurs" show.

My daughter liked In the Night Garden when she was a little younger, now the favourite is Chugginton but Postman Pat and Maisy are getting more popular. She is 27months

Lots of good suggestions here.  I like the Little Bear DVDs...we have a few Max and Ruby, and both my girls love Shaun the Sheep.  My 3yo loves Lassie (the old b/w with Timmy, great DVDs on Amazon), Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro, animated Disney movies like Peter Pan, Aristocats, 101 Dalmations, etc.

My son (almost 2) gets to watch a DVD once or twice a week.  (For a while I let him watch for 30 minutes or so every night while I made dinner, but he would have a tantrum when it was time to turn whatever off and eat, and it just wasn't worth the drama for either of us.)

He loves the movie Our Neighbor Totoro, which I think is great for little kids.  That's far and away his favorite and the one he asks for most.

He also really likes The Baby Human (documentary about babies and their development), Babies the movie (the 2010 one), Shaun the Sheep, Fraggle Rock, Beauty & the Beast, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Busytown Mysteries.

My 27-month DS likes some of the Pixar movies: Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc.
