-spinach
-cauliflower
-broccoli
-mangoes (once they are sold in the box)

-sesame seeds
-tomatoe paste
-herbs and spices
-rice noodles
-butter

I could go on, but you get the picture
Just go to the organic section of the store and see what they've got.

grocery shopping
Hmmm... Well, we usually spend most of our time in the produce section. We buy a cow directly from the farmer, so never need meat... Usually something like this:-green veggies,
-onions
-a little fruit
-2 bags of fresh spinach
-celery (celery / peanut butter is our snack)
-a few additions for the spinach (peppers or tomatoes, etc)
-2 loaves yummy bread (I split these in 1/2 and freeze for dinners)
-3 bags of frozen fruit (these are dessert for us)
-2 lb. cheese
-2 gallons of milk
-toby's tofu pate
-flat bread
-beer
-wine
-coffee
-kaschi cereal
-Nancy's family-size lasagna (for a hurried evening)
that's the core, then I always add a few things - organic cup-o-soup, other quick meal items that aren't too bad.

Lots of veggies: eggplant, peppers, onions, potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, squash, lettuce, tomatoes (trying to eat lots of salad!!) Also, greens -- kale, spinach, etc. And of course, GARLIC! LOVE IT!
Fruit! Apples, bananas, pears, oranges, clementines (when available), strawberries, grapes, avocado, etc.
Bread, grains, pasta: Whole wheat bread. Can't get used to whole wheat pasta, so we eat the white kind. Couscous, brown rice.
Other stuff: Healthy crackers (I read all labels and don't buy anything with hydrogenated oils -- blech!) Occasionally, some cookies or other snack, but a healthy kind. Trader Joe's has yummy cookies, but I can't buy them very often or I just want to eat up the whole bag!! Hummus, tofu, soy milk, apple juice. Sometimes fish (for me) or chicken (for dh).

Lots of produce! "Regular" items are bananas, pineapple, grapes, strawberries, apples, pears, mangoes, avocadoes, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, eggplant, leafy greens, carrots, winter squash, onions, garlic, fresh ginger. Summer fruits when they are in season, too. I buy organic when it's financially reasonable, but sometimes I just can't justify spending $4.00 for six strawberries.
Yep, we're carnivores! I buy organic chicken, beef and pork. We always eat lean cuts of meat, and I cook them in healthy ways - broiling or baking rather than frying. We eat fish, too - mostly salmon and tilapia.
Only whole grains. Even though my daughter says she loves white rice (darn Chinese restaurants turned her on to this!), we buy brown rice, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, whole grain crackers and cereals, usually organic brands.
Dairy products. DD drinks soy milk, but dh and I do drink moo...well, we use it in cereal. We eat a lot of yogurt in our house, and cheese as well. Eggs (cage-free), cream cheese, and I know it isn't dairy, but orange juice is in the same aisle.
Canned stuff Not too much of this, but I do buy canned tuna and a bunch of canned tomato products for sauces and other recipes.
The deli counter! We buy sliced chicken or turkey breast, sometimes ham. They also have this awesome olive bar where you can fill containers and they price it by weight. There are olives, fresh mozzarella, pickled artichoke hearts, things like that. We also buy hummus and taboule salad here ( I can make those myself, but I'll admit it - I'm lazy.)
We pretty much skip the entire middle of the supermarket - the cereal aisle, which smells so strongly of sugar that it makes me gag - well, the candy is in that aisle, too. The "prepared foods" aisle, filled with stuff I barely consider food, and the potato chip aisle. I'd rather give DD Pirate's Booty or Soy Crisps.

I agree with staying out of the middle of the store. Everything that is healthy is on the outside (no, not the hoho's) your veggies, fruit, whole grain breads, yogurt, soy products, etcetera. I wish you good healthy eating vibes
As the saying goes,"don't panic, go organic!"
refined sugar and flour are two of the worst things that you can eat, just don't buy anything with those ingredients.

My kitchen is stocked with the following ( 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 toddler):
skim milk
1% cottage cheese
cheddar cheese
skim mozzarella
eggs
butter
sometimes yoghurt
chicken thighs
lean ground beef
center cut pork loin chops
occasionally I will buy ribs or steak
occasionally I will buy farmers sausage(and pierogies)
once in a while fish, usually sole or orange roughy.
sandwich meat: various kinds for my family and turkey for me
canned tuna
canned beans(mixed beans, black beans, garbonzos)
canned crushed tomatos(I make my own tomato sauce)
romaine lettuce
spinach
cucumber
zucchini
mushrooms
lots of broccoli
green/red peppers
roma tomatoes
avocados
cauliflower
carrots
celery
bananas
apples
oranges
seasonal fruit depending on the time of year(kiwi, strawberries, mango, papaya, grapes etc.)
fresh garlic
fresh ginger
onions
oatmeal(regular and instant)
9 grain hot cereal mix
cream of wheat
whole grain cold cereals
popcorn
brown or white basmati rice
peanut butter
low sugar/all fruit jam
honey
bags of frozen whole green beans
bags of frozen mixed berries, strawberries or blueberries
frozen orange juice
100% fruit juice boxes for ds's lunches
Whole grain breads: sunflower flax or rye
multi-grain melba toasts(I don't buy crackers)
vinegars-about 6 different types(basalmic, tarragon, sushi, red wine, raspberry, white)
tamari soy sauce
extra virgin olive oil
I tend to stick to shopping on the outside aisles of the store, and buy foods in their natural state. But, I have been known to buy Italian Ciabatta buns or crusty rolls, as well as the odd box of chocolate covered granola bars.
I make my own cookies, once in a while(peanut butter or oatmeal chocolate chip) but very rarely, cuz I tend to eat them all :LOL
I also make sushi (the cooked kind once in a while, so I buy sushi rice, smoked salmon, crab flavored pollock sticks, shrimp and tempura batter. I make lots of rolls: smoke salmon, california and dynamite. Yum!!
I buy whey protein powder as well. I mix it with skim milk for a convenient meal replacement.
