If you just found out, and are 4 weeks along, then a month ago conception wouldn't even have happened yet. Your gestational age is dated from the first day of your last period, so includes approximately 2 weeks when you're not pregnant. I think it's totally reasonable that your doctor wouldn't have noticed anything unusual with your cervix if you were not-yet pregnant or even newly pregnant, especially if this is your first baby.

If you have more specific dates (when was your last period? when was the PAP? when did you ovulate/conceive? when did you get your positive test?) that might help people help you work it out.
well i had my pap test on the 16th of july but prior to this i was having my period every two weeks for 3 months , up until the beginning of july soo i havent hadd my period since then but when i had my pap test my doctor never said anything wasnt normal with my cervix....and this is my first pregnancy soo im totally new to all of this and kind of confused....i just had my blood work and urine sample taken yesterday by my doctor and im just waiting the comfirmation that i am pregnant....but i know i am !

With my first, I had a pap two days before I expected my period - about a week before my positive test. The doctor noticed that my cervix was particularly tender. When I told her that I thought I might be pregnant, she told me the cervical tenderness was more likely due to an STD! HA! No STDs, but one baby boy just about 9 months later!
