If this spotting doesn't turn into a full on AF, I'll test on the 31st.

Trying to Conceive #2 - Page 3
When I wiped last night and once or twice this morning, it was SO SLIGHTLY pink....I mean really, really slight. And no other AF symptoms or anything like that.Â
I will be testing tomorrow, but I am not really expecting a BFP. But, the last time I was pregnant, I didn't really expect a BFP on the day I got one, either, so we'll see.
Â
I have been having dreams with water in them nearly nightly for a couple of weeks, which I know can be a fertility sign. Also dreamed last night that I was at the hospital where DD was born, and getting ready to birth another one! (although, in the dream I was mad about being at the hospital and not the birth center I want to go with this next time around!)
Â
Hmm... I guess we'll see!
I did test this morning... BFN.
Â
I was kind of expecting it, I guess. I am really leaning toward majorly cutting back on DD #1's nursing (she is 2) and seeing if that helps my cycle re-regulate. But I keep reminding myself that I DID get pregnant last February (ending in m/c), so it's probably not the nursing itself that is keeping me from getting pregnant?
Â
DH and I were talking about it today, and I can tell that he is kind of anxious for me to get pregnant again soon - he said he was tired of seeing negative pregnancy tests.
Â
I will be testing again in a week or 2 though... just in case that slight pinkness (not to mention the dreams!) meant something!
Â
Baby dust to all of you, I hope we all get our BFPs soon!!
Sorry for the downer ladies, but I am feeling a bit sorry for myself now. Â I wish I had known how hard it would be have a second one during those years I was trying to put space between my children and not have two babies at once. Â Now my daughter is going to be a big kid before I have another baby. Â I got some of my hormone tests back. Â I have slightly high TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and slightly low progesterone levels post ovulation. Â Neither are clinically abnormal, both are not ideal for getting pregnant. Â I feel stressed because I will be 36 in a few months and my chances may just keep going down, Â I guess I keep up the acupuncture and hope for the best. Â I have to try not to think about this for a little while, but I will check in to see how you ladies are doing. Â I wish you all lots of luck and baby dust.
Â
Hugs, CA Country Girl. It has been a long confusing road for you TTC #2- I'm sorry you can't get any answers why it's taking so long. I hope acupuncture does the trick (I've heard many success stories of it). Please keep us updated every now and then so we know how you are!
Â
BeachLove- sorry about the BFN. I don't know much about nursing and fertility... unfortunately, DS self-weaned at 12 months (long story). But if you're charting and your charts show that you're ovulating, then I'm not sure how the nursing would decrease fertility??? I hope you get your BFP soon.
Â
PurelyMama- still having spotting? I hope you get a BFP on the 31st!
I'm sorry you are having a rough time, CACountryGirl. I have also heard great things about the acupuncture, so I hope it works out for you!!
Â
Thanks traci447. I haven't actually been charting, my DD wakes me up at such varied hours in the morning (anywhere from 4 am to 6:30), that I just gave up on it. So I am not 100% sure if I am even ovulating. I do try to keep an eye on CM, but even that has been a little cryptic.

, CA Country Girl. Sorry you are feeling down in the dumps. I understand the feeling like you are never going to get your #2. Ds is 4 1/2 now and I just feel like the space gets bigger and bigger all the time. I had a dream last night that someone stole him away, and my interpretation of this is I'm feeling like he's already growing up and getting independent so fast that my baby is not there anymore! Not only that, but I have friends who have kids the same age as mine, plus have one or two more already and I'm still waiting for that #2!
Â
Sorry about the BFN, BeachLove. Any more signs of AF?
Â
AFM: I'm feeling tired, I have sore boobs and I have been on and off nauseaus. I am NOT reading into this. I am NOT reading into this. I am NOT reading into this.....Besides, I was up late last night and up early this morning, so it could totally be because of that. There is a chance that I'll test tomorrow, but I really should wait another day or two..we'll see how my will power is tomorrow.
Hi Everyone! I am on CD 21 here. Last month I had a 27 day cycle and previously my nomrla cycles have rnaged from 27-29 days. We will be away over the long weekend, so I won't bring any tests with me, so at the earliest I will test on CD 29. My tummy has been feeling a bit funny, but I think it is too early for symptoms, plus it could just be a side effect of my back pain. Anxious to hear about some positive tests soon!

Gator - How long is your LP normally? Do you know how many DPO you were when you found out you were pregnant with DD? I know that with DD I didn't test positive until 13 or 14 DPO and with the prenancy that ended in miscarriage it was 16 DPO, but EVERYONE is different!
Â
I admit I do miss temping a little to be able to look at my chart and have more to work with. But I think it is making me better mentally!

I think my LP is normally about 13 DPO. I have no idea what my DPO was with DS because he was a surprise. I wasn't charting or temping or anything then..didn't know how to do that.  I knew I was late by the time I tested with him.Â

. Between that and our recent earthquake I've had some decent distractions hahaha.Gator - I'm totally a bad influence and think testing can't hurt! It could be too early, but it may not be!! Really I'm hoping that someone else testing will keep me from doing the exact same thing..... I hope you have a BFP whenever you do test!!!!
AFM, the spotting has all but stopped. Which makes me feel hopeful as I should really have started already. I dont usually have cycles this long, but I'd like to wait until the last possible theoretical date just to be sure. Plus the spotting has made me feel extra cautious.
So it sounds like PurelyMama, Gator-mom, and BeachLove are all in that timeframe of possibly testing now? Please let me know if I'm forgetting anyone! I'm a late tester (I'm scared to see BFN) so I would wait until AF would be due, then test. But I want you all to test early because I'm anxious for you! Lol!
Â
Well, I purposely didn't TTC this cycle. I O'd yesterday which was 2 days earlier than I thought I would, but DH wants to wait one more month before TTC. For some reason he thinks it's going to happen the first month, but I tried to remind him that it took 6 months the first time. Oh well. I was a little frustrated at first (it's hard knowing I'm in my fertile time and not doing anything about it!), but now I'm okay with it. This is my first cycle not taking Vitex and only taking B6 along with my prenatal, and I want to make sure that my LP will be long enough to allow for implantation. And this is my first cycle charting for TTC #2 and so I will be able to be certain about my LP length. So I will be VERY happy if my LP is at least 11 days long so we will be good to go next cycle! Please send some positive vibes my way for a long LP!
Great Thread!

We are ttc #2 as of 3-4 days ago. YAY! I've been ready for #2 since, literally, the birth of my first. Ds is 2.5 (a december 2008 baby), and I'm so excited to expand our family.Â
Â
Actually, I'm just excited for this to even be a possibility!!! DP has been rather against ttc a second until just a few nights ago. It's been something of an 'issue' for us as I was so ready for another that it was hard for me to respect his need to wait. Now, he's on board, and we're all doing happy dances over here...relieved to have finally MADE a decision ;-)
Â
I'm not charting...or even really expecting a quick pregnancy...mostly, just enjoying the ttc part ;-) (We'll give that a full cycle before it changes right? lol)

Well, what here's what I get for having ants in my pants: A BFN last night and AF this afternoon! I should be all hot and bothered, but I'm not really. Maybe it's because I drank more than I should have a few days ago for my 30th bday, and now I don't have to worry about having caused FAS in my future child..lol. Anyway, at least now I know in good conscience that DH DOES want to TTC for sure now..and not just not prevent so we are both on board And while trying to keep stress down, also going to both be on the same page with the same goal in mind. Hopefully PurelyMama and BeachLove have better luck that me!
Â
Also, welcome pregnova!
Sorry about your BFN, Gator-mom! Hopefully next cycle will be your BFP!!
Â
AFM, I will probably take a test on Saturday, just since I've gotten into the habit of weekly testing ever since the AF that never came a few weeks back.
Â
I've only been nursing DD #1 3 times a day (morning, nap, and bedtime), so now I'm going for 2 6-hr stretches with no nursing, and I'm hoping that will kick-start me into ovulating (just in case I hadn't been already -- I have not been charting, so I was unsure).
Â
Good luck to you all, and I hope we are all successful, soon!!
