If you have had 3 or more...

Thread Starter

I am pregnant with my third and will not allow an induction of any kind. My first was born at 40 weeks and 6 days and my third was induced at 35 weeks (due to malpractice IMO, but that is for a different thread).

My current midwife team is amazing and they keep saying they feel I am going to go early. Since I have nothing to compare it to I was wondering if those of you that have had 3 or more naturally are typically pregnant the same amount of time or if you go into labor sooner with each pregnancy?

I know there is only so much I can do to prepare, but i am just curious what your experiences have been.

#1 38 weeks 4 days

#2 38 w 6 d

#3 40w 5d

#4 38 w 3d

So my 3rd pg was the wild card!

Wow! I hope that doesn't happen this time around! But it looks like other than that you were pretty much the same with each baby. Thanks for sharing! Anyone else?

Baby # 1-induced at 41+4

Baby #2-40+4

Baby #3 40+4

Baby #4 40+3

All my natural spontaneous labours had about the same gestation period.

My first was 40 weeks plus 12 days
Second was 40 weeks plus 10 days
The 3rd I had a c section at 39 weeks
The 4th I am hoping for a VBAC before 40 weeks, but not too optimistic that anything will happen before 40 weeks!
Was curious about this myself, if you have had post term pregnancies if these continue....

First baby spontaneous labor at 40 weeks plus 12 days.
Second baby spontaneous labor at 40 weeks 10 days.
3rd baby was born by c section at 39 weeks, no labor.
4th coming in a few weeks! Hoping for a chance to have a VBAC before 40 weeks, but wondering if the post term trend usually repeats itself....

#1 - 40.0, induced

#2 - 40.0, natural

#3 - 41.2, natural

#4 - 40.0, natural

#5 - 40.3, induced

#6 - 40.4, induced

so nope, not earlier each time.

#1-40w 1d, induced(was already contracting but it was prodromal)
#2-40w 4d, spontaneous
#3-39w 6d or 40w 1d (depending on the date I used), spontaneous

So not "early" enough to count as much of a difference if you count it as early at all.

# 1 - 36 wks 4 days, natural

# 2 - 39 wks 1 day or 39 wks 6 days, natural (depending on which date)

# 3 - 39 wks, natural

# 4 - 38 wks 6 days, natural

#1: 39 weeks, induced due to hurricane evacuation (was already 6 cm dilated)

#2: 39w 6d, spontaneous

#3: 38w 3d, spontaneous

#4: 40w 4d, spontaneous

#1 39+4

#2 40+1

#3 39

All natural, no inductions.

#1 40.4 (but I think more like 40 exactly knowing what I know now about my ovulation pattern)

#2 c/s at 38.5

#3 39.4

#4 39.4

No inductions.

#1- 39+4 or 1, depending

#2  39+2,

#3  39

No inductions or interventions.

I'm hoping to continue the trend with #4 due in Dec. LOL.

#1 - 40

#2 - 38.5

#3 - 38.2

I'm currently pregnant with #4.

No inductions.

#1 - 41 weeks

#2 - 41w 2d

#3 - 42w

Hmmm.... that looks scary, lol.  My last one did not appear to be older than my #2 and I know he was conceived a bit later in my cycle so I suspect he may not have really been 42w, but just was based on last AF.

Mine were earlier each time!

dd1 - 42w5d
dd2 - 41w4d
ds - 41w0d

#1- 37w 0d, natural

#2- 39w 0d, natural

#3- 40w 0d, natural

No inductions and my pregnancies got longer each time. :) And all three of my kids were born on Saturdays, how weird is that?

First baby - exactly 40 weeks

second baby - exactly 39 weeks

third baby  - 41+1

(first two were born on Fridays, third was on a Saturday)

#1 41w6d
#2 35w5d (died prior to birth, labor was spontaneous)
#3 38w3d

I was sure of my dates each time. #3 weighed exactly the same as #1 and was 1in longer. I was very surprised to have her before 41 weeks! All 3 were spontaneous labors, UCs.
