So, after I got up and had bfast, my coffee, and did my hair and put some mascara on (lol)
He broke my water at 7:47am. Tons of fluid for what seemed like forever. When it finally stopped gushing I got up and moved around. ctx didn't really start till around 10..I had a few before that but pretty normal ctx for me. At 10 they started to pick up. They were still WAY manageable till maybe 10:15? Just swayed while standing with dh. At around 10:20 I felt him turn and move lower, and was having a hard time standing. Dh called the nurse, she checked me and I was like 7-8 (was 4 when checked in) I told dh it would be soon, and that I needed to get on the bed. I'd told the nurse to trust me, not my cervix before things got started, so she knew to call my doc right away. His office is aross the street from the hospital. He must have run, because she called him at 10:32 and I felt my first pushy urge at about 10:35. It was the weirdest thing to breathe through them w/out pushing but feel my body pushing w/out my help. Doc checked me and I he was right there lol. One more contraction, and they had me push him out fast because they couldn't get a signal on his heart and didn't want a scalp line. He came out sunny side up! Took all of five minutes or less of the pushy contractions before he was out. Doc said that was the fastest delivery he's seen lol! And that if he'd been in the right position I would prob. have torn because he would have come so fast. But no tears!
He is perfect, WAY alert (awake for 3+ hours after birth!) WAY active, really strong (already holding his head up!) and an amazing nurser.
