Finally feeling great only to have nausea and fatigue return?

Has anyone been feeling great once you hit your second trimester, only to have those let's say unpleasant symptoms return again? I'm 15 weeks and for the past 3 weeks or so, I thought I was in the clear of the morning sickness, extreme fatigue, and headaches.  I didn't have any of that. However, the nausea just returned and I found myself vomiting here and there again starting the other day.  I also feel really tired the past two days too. Not as much nausea as in the beginning (and I can't say it was horrible this time either).   I just thought it was my time to start feeling great.   I guess I was wrong!

Oh!  I know what you mean.  I'm out of town for a work conference and thought I'd be fine with a full but modified schedule and instead I'm flat out exhausted and totally exhausted.  Just days ago I was saying that the morning sickness passed and I felt great.  Oh, I'm really hoping this is just a final hurrah.

I'm so glad to hear I'm in good company!  I too hope it's the final hurrah!smile.gif

Yeah, I'm so exhausted that I wrote exhausted twice and forgot to mention that I'm totally sick to my stomach...morning, noon, and night.
Hope you're feeling better, Silvermoon.

I'm right there with you!  I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and lately I wake up, eat breakfast, and am ready for nap #1.  Dying for another nap mid-afternoon, and a 3rd between 6-7pm.  It's *almost* worse than the first trimester!

definitely!  It comes and goes over here!

I'm having the same issue.  At almost 17 weeks I thought I would be totally done with exhaustion and nausea by now, but I am not finding that to be the case.  The good news is that the nausea isn't as bad/consistent as it was during the first trimester, but I still have a lot of off days.  The exhaustion is still pretty bad, but I think it would be better if I could just get a good nights sleep.

Same here. Had it the other day. I thought i was done with it! But at 18 weeks (am due at the end of Jan), i have gotten it on and off. Like PP said, not as bad and as consistent as the first trimester.  You know, i dont remember this in my last pregnancies (no.3 this time)....

Definitely feel ya! My nausea has been mild, but after a nice break, I did feel it return. Also being tired. I can barely drag myself out of bed some mornings. All I want to do is nap. Yesterday I curled up on the couch with a blanket and put a movie on to watch with the boys because I was just so exhausted.

Does the tiredness ever go away, or is it there throughout the entire pregnancy?  My first pregnancy was a rough one from start to finish so I really have nothing to compare this one too because this one has already been much better for me so far.   I know the nausea should dissipate at some point but not sure about the fatigue.

I have Hyperemesis and am finally able to get around here and there after spending 6 weeks in bed constantly vomiting. I keep thinking I am getting better and even was able to eat a little here and there, but then last week at,  13 weeks, I had a major downturn and ended up having to get i.v. fluids again for dehydration after I couldn't even keep water down for days.

I keep hoping and praying things will get easier. I didn't have Hyperemesis with my other two kids but did have manageable morning sickness until about 16 weeks. I keep reading that Hyperemesis often lasts the entire 9 months. I don't know how i could have the strength need to birth this babe if I never get relief and can't eat for 9 months. I feel helpless a lot of the time. Hoping for some relief so I can enjoy my last pregnancy, instead of just suffering through it:(

hug2.gifHugs to you. I really hope you get some relief soon. My cousin had that as well.  She had it with both of her pregnancies.  She did have it pretty much the entire time, but I don't know if all people who have that will have it the entire time.  I know what a horrible feeling extreme nausea and vomiting is.  With my first, I had severe nausea and vomiting too for the first 5 months, though it was never classified as hyperemesis. I remember taking Zofran and I hate taking any medication at all, so that's how badly I needed relief.  I wound up in the hospital for dehydration too.  Did the doc give you any tips of what you can do to relieve it?
