Fort Campbell Question (finding a place to live)

Hey ladies,

     My husband is being stationed at Ft. Campbell and we are reporting there on the 30th of this month. I was wondering if any one knew of a good area to live in that is in the country, where we could live green and off the grid, and have animals and such. We will need to rent since we don't have the option to buy right now. Does anyone know of any places to look into within an hour drive to Campbell? Thanks so much in advance!

We were at FTCKY for 5 years.  Everything outside of Oak Grove/Hopkinsville and Clarksville is very rural.  Even parts of OG are farm area. 

I'd look around the Dover, TN and Trenton, KY areas.  They are very close to post so the commute would be easy.  I'd contact a realty agency (Larry Friend and Kristi Plute are awesome) to see what is listed in the area.  They may even have some houses that are up for sale that the owner might be willing to rent out. 

If you start looking between Nashville and Clarksville, you are going to have waaaaay too much of a morning commute- not really worth the gas if there are closer rural areas.
