Toddler transition from crib with infant sharing room too?

Okay, I have a 2yo that just climbed out of his crib today.  He shares his room with his 6mo old brother.  I'm dreading the idea of moving him to a toddler bed...I have visions of no one sleeping ever again!

We transitioned DS1 to a big bed a bit earlier than 2--maybe around 20 months?  I can't remember exactly.  It was no big deal.  We did have a few nights of him getting out of bed and coming out.  We would just lead him back to bed without any fuss, tuck him back in and say night night.  Definitely by the third week, we didn't have any of that anymore.  It really wasn't that bad and we moved him to a queen with toddler rails (because that's the bed we already had).  He did fine.  Yours probably will too!
