permanent tooth in before baby tooth has fallen out

My (newly) 6yo has a permanent tooth about 1/3 of the way in just behind his yet-to-vacate bottom front baby tooth.  The baby tooth is not loose yet.  Is this any cause for concern?

It can be... my sister and I both had our bottom front baby teeth pulled when they would not come out. The permanent teeth coming in behind were forced into a weird angle. So sorry you are going through this! Maybe the baby teeth will fall out on their own.

It's a concern for my ds.  He just spent the last year in a palatal expander and now has phase 1 braces.  He just turned 9yo.

Many mamas here have had success with a traditioanl foods diet to widen the facial bones.  I've also heard of CST being used for that purpose.  Many here are against orthodontic appliances.  I didn't come across those posts until after the braces were seated, so we're gonna stick out phase 1 and see what we can do to avoid needed a 2nd set of braces down the road.
