I have just been prescribed 50 mg of Zoloft per day, is this safe while my wife and I are trying to have a baby?

Robert, my husband is on Zoloft, but when we started trying to conceive we found that it was taking him an extremely long time to reach orgasm.  In some men, Zoloft causes ED or, as is the case with my husband, difficulty or inability to reach climax.  I have also read that some studies suggest Zoloft can decrease sperm count.

However, I haven't read anything to indicate that Zoloft isn't *safe* for a man to take while TTC.  I don't believe it would transfer anything to a potential embryo, but it might make getting the job done a bit more challenging.

I hope this helps, and best of luck to you!
